I would be satisfied with issue 300 being the big Hama end game. It seems fitting. 155 at Marvel / 145 at IDW. It would have felt wrong if we got more from IDW than we did from Marvel.
It will be an end of an era indeed. I can still remember sitting in my old S-10 pickup at Art School - reading issue 155. I hope Larry truly knows how much he's touched all of our lives. |

I'm excited to see how Hama wraps it up. He got robbed at Marvel with the sudden cancellation, forced for a quick wrap up on #155. In retrospect, it turned out fine, as we got both the DDP continuation and Larry's IDW continuation out of it, but this time I really want to see how Larry would properly wrap his story up.

My local comic shop was saying that Larry was in talks with Marvel again, I don't know in what capacity but interesting to hear.
I personally don't think the ARAH comic is done regardless of where Hasbro sends the property. I've enjoyed every issue, some more than others but can't see it coming to an end with how Hasbro has been pushing the brand and getting ready to celebrate the 40th with the return of the o-ring line. Granted, IDW's own universe was a trash show, VERY quickly after a couple of years when it became clear Dixon was going too slow with his burn, and was more interested in weird fanships than actual lore. There's re-imagining, and then there is just not getting a story. Admittedly, just my opinions. |

I do hope that all the issues get properly collected into TPBs to round out the set.

Not really sure the comics are even the big push for the toys. They'd probably make out better with cartoons. But really, maybe all they NEED is the toys at this point?
The movie certainly didn't do a damn bit of favor to the franchise - a lackluster bomb of a movie but the toys are still selling like hotcakes despite it. Same with the lackluster game that came out a year or two ago. That seems to indicate Joe can do just fine without media tie-ins. Granted, how much of that is us older fans who grew up with the OG stuff and are still collecting after all this time or the nostalgia has called us back. Has the He-Man Netflix cartoons boosted that brand? Kinda seems to me that the best sellers are the Origins stuff. I see Moss man, He-man, Skeletor, and Evil-Lyn rotting on the shelves all the time but Origins is a blink and you miss it. Same with NECA making TMNT stuff from the OG cartoon and live action movie and that sells great. You don't see them making stuff based on the recent TMNT cartoons. That crap is still wasting away at Ollies for pennies on the dollar. So maybe Joe can simply coast on nostalgia without any actual media stuff? |

Maybe just focus on making cool toys and let the 'Market' decide. |
