I think I had more Joe than Cobra and that the team's diversity helped a lot. If I wanted to be a doctor I had Doc and eventually Lifeline.
When I got bored of that and wanted to have a flamethrower I had Blowtorch. I had characters with jobs (besides ninja) that actually exist or existed within the military or law enforcement. Not having a central character was never a big deal for me, though I understand that wasn't the case for everybody growing up. What's great about this concept, is that you don't have to try and pitch multiple movie or show deals. You don't need them next time. You have hundreds of characters to choose from. You could even have a movie from the bad guys perspective and have the noks be the main, or whomever. |

I can see the panel but not the issue. Pretty sure it was Destro, which made him even scarier when I was a kid.

I think not having a main character is a strength Hasbo has failed to not only see, but capitalize on. It would be far easier to have a show, or group of movies, that don't piggyback off each other at all. This week/year it's a sub group of seals. Next week/year it's special operations in the arctic. They've put so much focus on this ninja aspect that hasn't taken off. When they could literally through a dart at a map and pit together any sub group they want. Movie or show based on those 4 or 5 main characters, with a number of odds and ends as logistical backround, with pass through rolls.,

**BEST Toy Retailers of January**
1. Dorkside = only retailer to ship Wave 8 of G.I. Joe Classified and first to ship Tython Boba Black Series, Action Force Wave 1; solid customer service too 2. Hasbro Pulse = that Tython Boba SWBS Wave/Blaster & Eject/Alley Vipers/B.A.T.s drop was totally unexpected, and their last few restocks have been spectacular; their customer service this year was been fantastic 3. Amazon = the most consistent big boxer to carry/ship B.A.T.s/A.Vipers; pushed UP several toys (WWE Ultimate, MOTU Revelations); other than packaging, just far better than Target & Walmart **WORST Toy Retailers of January** 1. GameStop = And they were arguably the best in 2021.. their online system is a piece of shit, with ridiculous dates; refusal to update/erase cancellations from order existence; the whole "awaiting product availability" bullshit; the constant emails to prepare for a shipment despite it being several months away... I could go on and on 2. BBTS = They dropped the ball with Action Force, G.I. Joe Classified, Star Wars Black Series, etc.. and they've pushed release dates so far back that I've canceled HUNDREDS of dollars worth of import toys (that I no longer have interest in).. They were my fav "fan channel" online retailer last year.. 3. Walmart = They've actually slightly improved their packaging, and had some hot clearance deals (mostly on Marvel Legends and McFarlane) before going blank in 2022... the constant cancellations have made Target look good.. also, their physical toy aisles are loaded, but loaded with stuff we wanted 8 months ago... At least I'll occasionally find something at Target (WWE, Masterverse, NECA)
