I would hope not, but I could see that happening. Ideally the exclusive lines continue to be repaints like PP/TF. I don't want to relive the pain of tracking down Cobra Island figures in Canada.

I don't think we have to worry about situations like CI Cobra Trooper/Viper anymore. Hasbro seems to have worked out that PP/TF are safe subjects for exclusives due to the fact they are "repaints". IG designs are totally unique designs. I think we are safe.

We've gone over this before, but in terms of unique characters it's badly slanted to the Cobra side, since the Joes have multiple Snake Eyes and Roadblocks (and even two Scarletts) now. It's more even on a 1:1 basis, but for those of us who are fine with one SE and don't buy multiple versions without really good reasons, it's annoying.

I'm counting 10 cobra characters on one shelf and 10 joes on the other shelf. Seems pretty even to me.

Well I never claimed I could count very well. Honestly, it is probably the troop builders that make me feel like it is lopsided. Like some wise old dude said, perception is reality.

I think the problem that isn't foreseen is that eventually the whole line is gonna be held up by Cobra when we get to characters like Ambush and Rampart. We've already seen their intention to keep it to "greatest hits" with Outback, Alley Viper and NF Storm Shadow. I can see them running out of material when the people who aren't completists sign off.
