But... all of the Neo-Rings have the painted rivet, even those meant to "replicate" the originals (as opposed to new-to-the-line figures). I'd bank on a miscommunication rather than intentional.

Yeah, that would make sense, but all the other new o-rings have painted rivets, which is why I'm wondering why they left this bare... Just wondering if it was an oversight or just something they decided on when they were first conceiving of the Skystriker re-design.

Yeah, I'm thinking mis-communication too, or perhaps that decision was made at the beginning of the "line" when the team was re-designing the Skystriker... and then they got more specific into the figure designs after the fact. Who knows...

I think Fail-Safe is the Ace I've always wanted. Of course they're just borrowing the Ace V2 helmets for the photo op...
