I know this is silly and I should have noticed long ago, but I just realized that the fuel container and tow car are reproductions of the USS Flagg ones, with the big exception that the new tow car has no seat! How are figures supposed to drive it?
The original USS Flagg one has a seat (see Tow Vehicle https://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/85/ussflagg/). This is sad, it reduces the playability of the toy... |

I know this has been mentioned before but I don't want to go searching the forums but I'm just getting to put my Skystriker together. Is there a trick to installing the wings? These fuckers are a being a little stubborn.

I just found out that everything can fit in the Skystriker box pretty easy. Even the stand. I am leaving the figures out though. No room for them and I do like them carded. Which way I am looking for a second set of mainly the Joes. The cobra figures I am fine with.

The easiest way I found was to try to work both tabs in, with an emphasis on the back tabs first, as the back tabs go in easier. Once the back tabs are clipped in, I turned the plane over to reveal the underside, held the wing with one hand pushing the front tab in, while squeezing it in close to the joint (as there's some plastic where the joint and screws are you can push). I would first make sure that the surfaces of where the wing touches the place are both free of little extra bits of plastic (like the ends of plastic trees where the plastic was molded), cause I had a bit on the surface of the plane which left as slightly pronounced gap when the wing was attached, as it got in the way of a clean attachment... I ended up removing the wing and using a scalpel to slice the little nibs of plastic off and reattaching the wing, but if you find them first, you can avoid removing the wing and having to reattach it.

Honestly, the wings on mine went on quite easily. I had the wings in the out position and put the vehicle on my lap. I held the lever to keep the wings from folding back and just pushed it in by holding the plane against my body. If you don't hold the lever, the wing mechanism will just fold back into the swept back position when you put pressure to put it in.
