I just saw that image in the "other" thread.. lol pretty sad!
Someone above was talking about collectors not displaying/opening their collections.. I display everything and open 95% of it but there is one line I stopped opening, and that's my Buffy the Vampire Slayer figures. Most of them are repaints and the ones I opened kept breaking so I finally just decided to leave them on their cards. |

Still don’t get why people collect figures and never open them, these days everyones doing it, yeah keep any vintage an limited run, collectors figures moc sure but anything these days is pointless, too much moc product out there, toys are men’t to have fun with and displayed.
Try buying one MOC today. |

I like it - but it is weird that’s it’s not any known definitive version of SE and instead appears more of mashup of they toy V1 and V2.

You’re right. I thought those gray ankle pockets were exclusive to the V2 toy but was wrong.

People buy them to not take out of package, they are novelty toys mainly to have haha fun retro toys you can't buy anymore type of deal. The cartoon styling and new art attracts people but for the hardcore GI Joe toy collector these are always going to be iffy. While casual retro fans gobble up Reaction toys

I think these Super7 guys love GI Joe more than Hasbro does, in all honesty. Hasbro could have been doing o-ring versions of ALL OF THIS shit for decades. They own the license, the brand, the team. They thought it couldn't make enough money. Super7 begs to differ and I believe even asked if THEY could handle o-rings (Hasbro said NO). I bet if Hasbro said yes, Super7 would GLADLY put out $20 a pop o-ring updates, etc. They carry many form factors for every license. And again, if there were straight re-issues of the vintage Joes being produced, I'd buy them by the case. No one wants those more than me, I promise. But these are fucking dope enough FOR NOW and I love where their hearts are at! Last edited by TheRealDubya; 10-04-2021 at 11:48 PM.. |

I got engaged with this figure because of the card... It's just done right and very different from what we got since the 80s... Love the card artwork front and back... I will continue collecting these figures because of their great selection and presentation of the product...✌️😀
