I wonder how many KS end their campaigns around tax refund season? I mean, if very few have tried this, then the statistics could totally be off. Plus, if I were partnering with MGR with any aspect of a KS, I would not want to begin my campaign on the heels of their campaign for fear of everyone spending their budgets on MGR. I mean, I only went All-In with 4 Add-Ons; some people went Double Mayhem and Ca-razy on the Add-Ons.
Now, if there is a manufacturing science behind the timing, then that makes sense. At least to me LOL! Jason Lots of behind the scenes stuff happens. There may be big KS, Haslabs. Cosmic Legions maybe? Lots of things to consider. I’m sure the decisions aren’t made on impulse. |

It’s also one of those things where… there may be other KS coming next spring, and Skeletron wanted to get out ahead of them.

Basically, I don't think there's any "perfect" time to slot a Kickstarter anymore, not to mention that I doubt all these companies are communicating with each other as to exactly when their stuff is going to drop. There MAY be one "bad" time to do a Kickstarter though (immediately after the Holidays). |

I understand their reasoning for the name, but Wild Weasel's name is nothing to do with non-domesticated Mustelidae. It's from Wild Weasel SAM killer missions. Hence, I think it's a stupid-ass name.
I did not know that. That's pretty cool info. Jason |

It's like making a diver figure called Swimsuit or a heavy machine gunner named Street Obstruction. |

Exciting to see that the RoboSkull is compatible with 6 inch figures also. Now if someone would make shadows in that scale...

I just want to know if there is more to this Red Shadows toyline beyond Robo Skull. Yeah, I may buy one but I just plopped out the big bucks to finally pickup a complete vintage one in 2020, so I'm like what are the odds, yet I got a shining for this new one.
Now, what I really want to know is there more and does it have legs to go the distance. |

(i.e. a skull faced tank) Or should they try to update and differentiate the original repainted vehicles to new designs that aren't direct copies of Hasbro products? |

the Shads had 4 'vehicles', the Roboskull, Hyena (red HISS), Laser Exterminator (red HAL), Shadowtrak (a 6-wheel light vehicle) and the Escape Armour (red SNAKE).
the other non-Joe vehicles were a small flat-bottom boat, a light jeep, a kayak, the Sea Lion sub, the Triad space fighter, Cosmic Cruiser (a small shuttle), Satellite Defence (a kind of space sled), Swordfish (a mid-size armed boat) and the Stingray (one man underwater sled). 1982 also saw a skimobile and a vehicle/boat/aircraft hybrid vehicle released. If they're ambitious enough for a Roboskull straight out the gate, I could see them doing the Triad and the Sea Lion next. |
