I totally want that CTV in 1/18 scale. It looks like some kind of made up movie vehicle that would never happen in real life.

The CTV would definitely make an awesome updated VAMP!

No truck is going to be 100% RPG-proof. To make it so, you would have to make it a tank. And even then an IED or EFP can possibly knock it out.
These things are pretty good at letting the outside get shredded while the guys inside stay alive. The real problem is as old as tanks- you can't roll a vehicle around a hostile city without a bunch of yahoos taking shots at you with whatever explosives they can get. Better to nuke it from orbit- only way to be sure |

How hard would it have been to make one of these for the ROC line? Just a few cosmetic changes to Hasbro's exhisting Desert Humvee mold and they could've had AT LEAST an 85-90% movie accurate Rhino. Unlike the Rhino we did get, the DH is roomie enough inside that none of the Has' refit money would've had to go toward resizing to fit 25th. / ROC figures either.
BTW: This dosen't mean I donb't like the DTC Rhino, I love it. I just bought one this afternoon. I'm just a sucker for movie authenticity. Now I just need an Armored Panther, which between the movie and the toy-line has changed from a small military 4x4 to an even smaller one-man tank. |
