If it was a HasLab project I don't think that the HISS would still have no moving parts. I'd expect that those treads were actually made of something durable and function, and that some of the dead space would get an upgrade (pack-away crew ladder like an X-Wing or a Ferret housed in the main body maybe?). Definitely would like to see the MMS included there, and colour variations even if it was just swappable base-body parts.
I think it's becoming the default choice for many folks because it's still medium sized (you can get a driver, gunner, and at least a couple troopers on the back), it's an iconic vehicle for many of us, and it's open to a number of different variations in colour or canopy changes (black, blue, red, orange, sewage tank, etc.). Throw in some battle-damage stickers like a vintage TIE fighter too! We don't really know how big is too big when it comes to HasLab projects. Granted, the Khetanna (Sail Barge) was pretty big, almost Flagg sized, but for a 6" scale even a TIE fighter winds up being quite large. No limitations, I'd say go for the Terrordrome, The Defiant, or a Silent Fortress. Swing big with the biggest vehicles we could get! But realistically some of us are looking for something that will still fit nicely on a shelf without having to plan an entire room around it, and leave some room for the smaller more affordable vehicles that should be getting made at retail to build out the scenes. In terms of support, HasLabs are always looking for thousands of supporters to hit the minimum they want, so it's going to have to be something pretty popular. For some of us the HISS is simply a great starting place if they never made another vehicle, but hopefully they make several or many others. For others it's the Skystriker, a Skyhook from the marvel run, or a Rattler. I hope we get something for everyone, and that the first one made isn't the last one we see. That's my two cents on it. I've already voted, and for me that's an easy choice. Hope to hear your thoughts on it! |

I took out my black series snowspeeder. Just to get an idea how big a night rave would be. The reason I chose the snowspeeder is the figures are seated back to back like the Night Raven. I think it could be done.

I like the Rattler as a HasLab project because of it's large scale, but still displayable, and real world basis (A-10). Last edited by puckzx6; 08-09-2021 at 01:30 PM.. |

I wouldn't want the HISS Tank to be a haslab because I'd want variations of the tank down the road and Hasbro doesn't reuse haslab toys

A plane would be my last choice. It holds two figures max, and there's no easy way to have the rest of the figures interact with it. And with the wing span, they won't fit on regular shelving. It just seems like a waste of a HasLab project.

I've been thinking about this for a while now.
The vehicles I want most are the HISS, Vamp, Stinger, and AWE Striker. I think all of those could probably be made at retail. I'd love a Rattler or Skystriker, but like some others have said, I don't really have the room to display them properly, so I don't know if I would buy them. In the end I voted for the Thunder Machine. I loved the original when I was a kid. I think it's big enough to justify it being a HasLab project, and I think I could display it a little easier than a larger aircraft. The additional tiers could be more Dreadnok figures or different accessories. |

I don't know how I keep missing these polls. I would have voted for the Skystriker because I'm too busy reverse engineering the WHALE in Fusion 360.
TBH, at this point, I'm not really even going to buy a HISS tank from Haslab. I tend to agree with RetroBlasting on the idea that if Hasbro wants to sell things then they need to put their big girl pants on and sell to the market. The Haslab thing is annoying, and expensive. I mean, seriously, I have motorcycle and gun parts to buy that are nearly the same price as some of this plastic they are selling. It's kind of silly. Also Hasblo, if you're going to put out entertainment in this line...figure out how to resurrect the comic line into a cartoon series maybe in a similar style of Resolute. It's 2021, there aren't decency restrictions any more. Anything goes.
