It took 19 years after Superman IV before Superman Returns was made. That's basically how far this sequel's gross has fallen from the first two movies. The second Joe movie looks like it was profitable from theatrical alone. The first most likely became profitable after home video. There were several Superman TV shows during that 19-year gap. That's the only shot Joe is going to have for a long time. I imagine we'll still get a cartoon if it's already in the works. I can imagine a small-scale live action show being attempted at some point. Unfortunately they have even more incentive to run away from anything ARAH-related now. When you manage to scare Hollywood off from using your #1 character, you've sure accomplished something. I would guess a show would scale things down to just Joe Colton now, as a Macgyver type of character. Or G.I. Jane as a Charlie's Angels type unit with Scarlett, Lady Jaye and Covergirl...two of them now non-white. When you can't afford to do full-scale ARAH Joe, and you've ruined Snake-Eyes, you're low on options.

I told yall this movie was going to bomb.
GI Joe is finished as a brand. Hopefully...just hopefully Mark Bellomo can do another ARAH collection book. Those make great coffee table books. |

Well, that plus giant transforming robots. Which certainly possess more mainstream appeal (to young audiences) than the military does. At least, at the present moment.

Gi Joe would have lent itself to a series on Paramount + where there could have been a core group of characters and specialists brought in as needed. Snake Eyes could have been the lethal but mysterious weapon and his backstory could have been told down the road after his popularity had been established and audiences were invested in his story. Everyone wants an MCU but no one wants to take the time to do it properly.

And it's not as if Hasbro (and eOne) don't have other partnerships with guys like Warner and Netflix.

So what happened to the Lady Jaye series? And the cartoon that’s suppress to be coming out? Was it announced that those aren’t things anymore? I get the movie hasn't been number 1 at the box office as it was expected but why the end of the line talk again?

Also the Classified line is doing incredibly well. The movie might be a mild speed bump.

The end of the line talk has always been a thing here, no matter what happens.
