For those that were unable to pre-order the figures they were after this morning, are we sure this day is the only day those items will be available from Mattel? Perhaps there is a chance they will make more of them available for pre-order at a later date.
I'm thinking Mattel's minds might be blown by how quickly so many items sold out this morning. Of course, being a "con" exclusive may shoot that right down.

Sorry to hear that so many missed out on the Sarge figure.. aside from having to wait in the checkout queue for a few minutes, I had a smooth experience ordering 1x Sarge and 1x Scareglow.

AF Sarge though looks like a bloated Popeye. Their paint apps are also incredibly boring and overly matte.

I have both the Mattel Creations Sarge and the AF Sarge pre-ordered so my fingers are crossed that both arrive at my home sometime this year. It will be interesting to compare them.

Missed out on Slaughter. Put him in my cart at 9. Got held up in checkout, and he sold out.
The timing of this exclusive seems like it's obviously trying to capitalize on the red-hot popularity of Classified. And they made him super-limited. It's like Mattel learned all the wrong lessons from the Cobra Island stuff. I'm hoping they re-release him at retail, without the jacket. But I doubt they will. Mattel never seems to make enough of their exclusives. They seem to relish in not actually selling product. |

I know it would only be held a few minutes, it would still be annoying. And you would only have more trouble getting it into your cart. If you were too slow to enter your payment info, then that means everyone who checked out probably had it in their cart before you did anyway. So in the new system, you wouldn't have even gotten it in your cart. The system would only help people who were really not prepared with their payment info even though they were fast on the add to cart button. And, it would even make it harder to get in the cart, because additional people who are just "thinking about" buying it could add it and think it over for a couple minutes. The net effect is the items would be 'out of stock' much faster.

For the MOTU Power-Con exclusives they did the thing were you had 15 minutes to check out and no one could take it from your cart during that time. If you didn't check out in 15 minutes it would leave your cart. They said there were several people who just put items in their cart and just sat there and never went any further or checked out. WTF?! Who does that? Why would they do that? Needless to say that sale was a debacle too.
