It will succeed because of their fresh brilliance or flop because fanboys are too close-minded. (And I believe neither claim, just thinking back on other works.)

I'm linking to this not for the video, but for the copy.
"Rage is his weapon." I know, this is fanboy kvetching, but Snake-Eyes was one character I nerver really felt was driven by rage. He was more thoughtful and single-minded than rage-filled. He was the epitome of the "peaceful warrior." So this is definetly a different person, not just different "trappings." Like if they made a Dirty Harry reboot about a pacifist. Anyway, soon enough we can stop worrying about what it might be and have it for what it is. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...56&ref=m_notif

The epitome of self control, with a couple exceptions.

If this movie succeeds, the only thing that's going to affect is more movies and more people buying the toys. I'll say this until my dying breath. The Bay moves for Transformers were awful but they turned the brand into one of the top roy brands in the world. It's a tent pole brand, one of the few holding up Hasbro profits.
Transformers now has a line dedicated to old fans, one for kids, one for preschoolers, one for movie fans, and another for surly old fogies like me, Studio Series 86. SS movie success isn't going to flood the toyline with neverending ninjas. It's going to flood the toyline with money. It might even be what Hasbro needs to do classic ARAH designs in Classified. You never know. Take it from a long time TF fan. I'd this movie does well things will likely go well for GI Joe toys |

I will also say, and maybe this is too optimistic, that if this movie does well, it is actually more likely that future movies and toy projects will be closer to what fans want than Origins was. There really is no downside to Origins doing well, even if you hate the film or story. It will help Classified and, in the long run, probably other lines of Joe merchandise as well.
