I see a set on Ebay for the low, low price of only 10x sticker price. They politely used a marker on the tags to not startle the buyer. Are we SURE these aren't the latest exclusives? ;)

I've gone to Tuesday Morning for the last two days and haven't seen them. I'm getting flashbacks to when I never found the Gi Joe vs Transformers keychains at Dollar Tree.

I'd never even heard of Tuesday Morning before, but I looked up their web site and it turns out there's a store in my area. I went today and found it hidden on the backside of a shopping plaza that I never even realized had any stores around back. (It's basically this, a Domino's, and a nail salon there.)
Sadly, no G.I. Joe product of any kind. The toy section was pretty sad, frankly. Just some 6- or 7-year-old low-end Star Wars junk and some puzzles. I might try again next week. Not holding out much hope, though. |

So I'm REALLY curious what the story behind these is: My understanding is that Tuesday Morning is basically one of many closeout retailers, but this seems to be the first time we've seen this product at all?
I'm seriously wondering if this was a product line that got cancelled before it even got announced and somehow Tuesday Morning ended up with a small stock of what was produced. In short...this could be REALLY rare product. Or maybe not, but at a minimum this whole situation is really odd. The sets look halfway decent and the assortment is surprisingly broad for a "first wave." Though on second thought I feel like I remember an announcement some time back about someone getting a license for GI Joe building toys, but it's more a "tickle the back of your brain" vague memory than anything I'm certain of. |

That's possible, but this could also be a deliberate strategy to get the brand into as many outlets as possible. Hasbro did release an assortment of special low-cost action figures with minimal paint apps to Dollar General stores a while back.

At the moment, the only confirmed sightings have been at Tuesday Morning stores, though people are speculating that they could also turn up at other comparable discount chains later (Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Five Below, etc.).
