One thing I like is that every figure so far has a new head. Up to the ninja, that's 9 figures with unique heads. The 1982 line only had 9 heads, with very few unique. A few other notes about that groundbreaking '82 line and its part-sharing: Only 4 unique waists (CC, Officer/Trooper, Scarlett, and the other 12 Joes) 10 torsos 7 sets of arms (only Scarlett and Steeler didn't share with others) 6 1/2 sets of legs Out of these parts, we got 16 figures I don't mind the part sharing on aesthetics and I understand the logistical reasoning. Another logistical reason that seems to be forgotten is that O-ring construction, with screws, metal t-bars, and metal rivets, are more expensive to make than Modern Era figures. Hasbro tried to reduce these in 1995 (fused waist/torso, no back screw) and 2002 (No O-ring) and they took advantage of moving production to Vietnam to create figures that did away with all screws and metal bars with the last Retro ME figures. These may be less articulated than MTF ME figures, but the cost per figure MAY be more. I don't know for sure, but it would not surprise me. In ANY case, this thing is already funded and we are getting new figures. The only question is how many. |

So pleased the digital comic has been released. Now I understand the characters more and how they fit into the story. It is a great first edition, art is awesome and a great story line which has left me wanting more. We need to unlock the team now. This is no longer a kickstarter, it is a mission!

Really wishing we could see more of the Card Art for these. All we have so far is the great Lancer art so I know it will be good... but the art is part of the draw for the original Joes and I want to see more

I've got a question (and sorry if it's been answered already or I missed it on the kickstarter page): what is the deadline for adding additional figures to your pledge package after the campaign closes?

Well, we had enough time and money for one piece of art for the line from Mr. Hart, so we picked Lancer. Once KS is done, you guys will get updates on card art and sculpts as they are developed!

Once Backerkit opens up, you can add more. That will stay up for a while, giving everyone a chance to add more to their original pledge. |
