Although she is a little rubbery, the Super7 Shadow Weaver is one of my favorite figures of all time (she looks better than the very limited Mattel Shadow Weaver).
I wish they would solve their waxy flesh tone plastic issue, but there are some ways to mitigate it (a matte spray, like you would use for finishing painting miniatures, can help a bit). |

But no reviewer has ever said that the Super7 plastic is higher quality. The first Super7 factory wave (Hawke, Teela, Man-At-Arms, etc.) got some pretty poor reviews on plastic quality. I think it has improved since then though. You can have high quality plastic that isn't glossy. This is a weird problem that Super7 keeps having.

In case anyone is interested, Target has Destro, Baroness, Kwinn, Snake-Eyes and Scarlett listed as "add for shipping", "in stores" , "ship it, get it by Dec 13."

Did anyone see the recent interview where Flynn supposedly said Ultimates would cost $75 next year?
I first saw this in the Toyark forums discussing the Animaniacs announcement.

I can't spend $75 on on their stuff. I'd like to get CC, Scarlett, and Lady Jaye, but I'm not going to pay $75 for Scarlett.

Jeez remember the days when a MOTU Classics 7" figure cost $20 (not including shipping)?
The last Super7 figures I got were the Club Grayskull MOTU figures, I think those were $35. Seemed steep at the time. $75 would just be...frightening.

That sounds like a rumor... Let's wait for a new interview with him before we create some speculation.💡

I want to buy most of the G.I. Joe Ultimates line if when I get them I think they are good. But around $50 is my limit. Also, that $35 price point was just a few years ago. And a $20 jump in one year? Inflation isn't THAT BAD. I don't know, does Vala have a point now about how Super7's prices are way too high and he is not covering costs with it but rather his high priced rent? |

The original poster did address the issue as likely pessimistic sarcasm on Brian's part, but I think prices going up across the board is definitely an issue worth discussing. If (and this is a big if) per figure price went to $75 all I'm saying is I'd be out. There is no way I'm paying that much for Super 7 product even given the copious accessories and cartoon accuracy across all of their Saturday morning animation product lines. Great as they may be they aren't $75 great IMHO. I know most are already paying that and more for smaller scale figures from companies like MAFEX, but part of the reason I've never purchased one of their figures is the per price. I'll stick with Black Series, Classified, MOTU Origins, etc., and lines available at mass retail (and therefore with a lower per unit price) before I fork over $75 a figure. I won't say ever, but right now my wallet and brain can't swallow that amount.
