I'd wait until they show up. |

There's also absolutely no reason to pre-order these since they don't sell out so yeah, waiting for the first in-hand images is the best thing to do. And if direct orders from Super7 arrive first again and they look good, you can still pre-order from BBTS or EE. Which is what I will be doing. |

Brian is just flat out wrong when he says the samples he got previously were painted. The NYCC photos of Lady Jaye and Flint weren't painted (I think Baroness is, though?). He said something similar when Tygra got the wrong elbow -- claiming his samples had the correct elbow when the samples they SHOWED had the wrong elbow.
The most likely explanation is that the factory made them the way the approved samples were. Which means, to avoid this in the future, all they have to do is not be asleep at the wheel when approving samples. By the way, he mentions another Ultimates line is in danger of being cancelled. I'm pretty sure that's Star Trek TNG. I don't think GI Joe is in any danger. |

I no longer believe anything Brian has to say. The guy reminds me of Dana White, whom I've followed for years. Contradicts himself and makes excuses for almost everything.

It's possible, but I believe it's less likely than the "asleep at the wheel" explanation. He needs to show the "correct" samples, if they exist. All we have to go on are the samples they showed at NYCC.

That the last time they showed them off the figures were out of focus on a table far below, tells me they knew these were unpainted and tried to hide it.
They have nobody at the factory looking at thing who went "Oh shit, these look nothing like they're supposed to. I better report this ASAP."? Odds are they saw the factory screwed up and couldn't afford to redo all those figures and just went with it. |

Are companies allowed to be on-site at factories again? Last I heard they weren't, but that was months ago.
