So, Hasbro has no faith that they can make their own products?

My belief is that ReAction will be the focus as that's Super7's bread and butter. Listings also have pretty much confirmed their existence. I don't think Ultimates is on the docket YET. I think Classified is still nascent enough that (as we've seen with figures like Alpha Commando Snake Eyes and Heavy Artillery Roadblock) the line is still shifting and finding it's focus and direction. But o-ring figures? THAT's where things can get VERY interesting. I always dismissed them for Super7 due to the costs, but if they can keep the price around $25, I think they can do some very interesting things. At minimum, there are some select figures that WILL sell as simple reproductions. But there are a TON of characters that featured different colors and designs in the cartoon than on the original toy. There's potential in using the different international packaging styles (especially Japan and Mexico) that could make for some interesting products. Just from a couple of molds- Snake Eyes Commando gets you Hawk, Stalker and Grunt (toy and possibly cartoon colors for all) Cobra Trooper/Officer gets you the classic toy, comic (red mask, yellow highlights), Sunbow, Shadow Guard, Crimson, Stinger driver and Python Patrol versions Cobra Commander (with alternate hood headsculpt) gives you Sunbow colorations, original toy, hooded figure deco, Crimson, and black. Storm Shadow gives you classic Storm Shadow, Ninja Viper, Red Ninja, Black ninja, and can you imagine the response getting an official Billy figure? Flint, Lady Jaye, Zartan (who himself has at least a couple built in variations), and unhelmeted versions of some characters are easy fodder for releases. Again, I'm not sure Super7 will pick up o-ring, but I think there's great potential for them in doing so.

Why spend the time and money on stuff when somebody will pay YOU to do all that? Same reason Disney ditched all their video game development stuff back in 2016.

Steely, I've long felt that Hasbro could have done that with a new Dollar general line. Almost the same tooling as well.

If they want to make a substandard action figure, why don't they just have Lanard do it. Walt would have a heart attack.

I can see why Hasbro would do this. It's like anything else its revenue and exactly what we as fans should want for the brand. Gi Joe licenses are nothing new. If in fact we are talking a Reaction the are substandard to anything Hasbro does anyway. Even Hasbro's 5 POA Star Wars shit is on a much higher level than that of Reaction. As far as a classics line I just don't see it at least in any form that would compete with what Hasbro is doing. If they were to let S7 run with a new O- ring line why not let them pay for the tooling?
Saying all that I am out regardless. As I previously Stated Super7 will not see another dime of my Money until Thundercats waves 2-4 and my Thundertank are sitting on my shelf. It's a a border line Ponzi Scheme. You ask questions and you either don't get answers at all or they feed you the same shit over and over again they treat thier customers like Mushroom people feed shit and keep them in the dark. I long for the days of Fun Pub because at least you always got what you paid for and in the case of the Tanks for the memories your money back. Ask S7 for a refund and its sorry we only refund for store credit. Like I want any of the other shit there trying to pass as action figures. Now Thundercats fans get to watch them take perorders on Silver Hawks and do this all over again.

I wouldn't expect them to do o-ring at all. Their whole reaction line is that simple articulation stuff. I think they're pretty cool as a nostalgia thing, but they are WAY over priced IMO

Hasbro already works with Super 7, right? Aren’t there ReAction Transformers? Also aren’t there already third party Joe figures? There’s a premium Destro 6 inch coming out soon, right? So this news really shouldn’t be that surprising. I think what would be exciting is an O-Ring line or a premium 4 inch line. Heck Super 7 could probably be successful with both. But I would support a ReAction line.
