So you'd think he'd have put the rest of the wave out and release BAT later ala Cheetara

I know some sites have GI JJoe Ultimates pushed back until March. Other sites still have Nov. Has Super 7 came out with any statements which is right. I canceled my preorders for wave 1-3 this is impossible to budget for this with no clue when or if will finally ship. Ihave a ton of Classified showing up last 2 monnhs with more expected in coming week. The backlog is almost all cleared up there. I do want the Ultimate line but not knowing is killing desire and not willing to have budget blown up with a suprise drop.

I think the delays have to do with their lack of trust in the Vietnam factory. TMNT Wave 5 and 6 came out on top of each other. Wave 5 was made in Vietnam, while Wave 6 was made in China. The China-made wave was fine, but the Vietnam-made wave had tolerance issues -- loose joints and hands that were difficult to swap. The SDCC BATs say Made in Vietnam, unfortunately.
I think that Vietnam factory is responsible for a lot of Super7's QC reputational issues. I think they produced the Filmation He-Man, while their more competent factory in China made the MOTU Collector's Choice figures, which were issue-free. I don't know that for sure -- for all I know they have multiple China factories or multiple Vietnam factories. But be aware that Wave 1 isn't from their ace factory. Don't know about Wave 2 or 3. |

It's probably wise not to pre-order the first wave, as it's probably oversupplied and will get marked down. Retailers are finally learning their lessons and have lowered their stock of waves that were solicited this year, but Ultimates that were solicited last year, like GI Joe Wave 1 and 2 are very likely to be had for cheaper if you wait.

Considering I'm grabbing TMNT Ultimates for $20-30 on Ebay, I'll take the chance they get marked down.
It's hard to budget when Super7 was basically saying stuff wasn't coming and then get hit with $250 worth of stuff that supposedly hadn't shipped. |

They didn't "move". They've had that Vietnam factory making ReAction figures since before they got the MOTU license in 2017. They've had multiple factories all along. They still have factories in China. It's just a crapshoot which one you get and a crapshoot DOES explain the random QC issues.
