I know this thread is for the Ultimate Joes so apologies for going a little off-topic slightly, but I am seriously considering collecting all of the TMNT Ultimates now. How is the quality on that line? They look amazing in pictures and I know I would love to see all of the '80s/'90s Turtle figures updated with today's articulation and details.

I think they're great. Pretty good deal for a sample:

Don't collect them all for God sake! I am pleading for your financial health. No but really, I have loved the TMNT Ultimates I have gotten. The huge ones are great, so much of that vintage detail but now all painted and such. Plastic is solid. I'm mostly buying the big boys, because of the price point. I got a few up on my fun-time "messing around with figures randomly" shelf, it's a kind of perfect chaos of plastic. Also do not collect the main ninja version of Turtles, only collect the variant ones. My jam is the Music Turtles so this Punker Don will be my first actual Ultimates Turtle. This is the Way. .

Yeah, my wallet is going to be cursing me, that's for damn sure! With the exception of the Michelangelo Metalhead, I plan on getting them all I think. Have you gotten the Ultimate Toxic Crusaders? I feel like they compliment the TMNT line and I'll also probably pick them up.

Has this guy that people don't like from Super 7 ever been candid about why they struggle with female figures so much?

But my tastes are too varied I have to pick and choose. Now I'm buying some old Toy Biz Marvel legends to test out for the first time. Sometimes you have to dig back into history, you know.

There aren't exactly many examples. Their MOTU stuff, I guess, and April. From what I read Cheetara is solid as in Pumiyra. If the frigging Fed-Ex hadn't sent mine back saying my workplace wasn't open I'd know more about them.
