It's possible. If they are still going back and forth with the factory (production of the figures to be shipped hasn't started yet) then we still aren't very close.
I have to admit I'm not all that clear on the difference between the status of Disney Wave 2 (first test shots received) and G.I. Joe wave 2 (pre-production samples submitted for review). Aren't test shots pre-production samples? They would get multiple test shots before pre-production samples. |

So G.I. Joe is actually further along than Disney Wave 2?

Aren't test shots pre-production samples? Unless Test Shots are just "let's see how the tooling comes together" and pre-production samples are "fully painted prototype" |

Just imagine if Hasbro had allowed Super7 to do O-ring, how many figures might we have had by now? S7 seems to have no issue getting these 1:18 scale figures out. Smaller companies are often more nimble and better able to react to changing market situations.

^ This. They may have been $25 a pop, but they could have been both glorious and abundant.

And they could have gotten them onto the pegs at Target instead of being online only. I really think S7 deserves a shot at that license.

Super7 has never shown an ability to make anything other than REACTION figures in a timely manner. I'm not sure they would have produced O-rings at the pace everyone seems to be assuming.

I'd like to assume that they could have handled more than the 2 that Hasbro has given us.
