I don't like Super7, but I think Mattel kind of hosed them here. Super7 created those Vintage figures and got very far along on getting them in stores before Mattel pressed pause, pulled the license back, and then put out Origins (essentially a better version of the same thing).
The weird thing is that Vintage figures sold fairly poorly because of how limited Super7 was allowed to be distributing them, so I wonder why Mattel jumped at the idea. Probably because they lost DC I guess. But, after deciding not to get into the motu origins line, then just getting on or two of which I didn't have vintage versions of, I fell whole hog into them and now look forward to motu origins releases more than joe stuff. I got a new Castle Grayskull for crying out loud!!

Made this comment about Mezco, and I'll say the same here. GI Joe ARAH has always been predicated on building teams of all your favorite Joes and Cobra. Relatively cheap, mass-produced toys are great for that. Premium collectors' toys...aren't. While Super7 is capable of popping out 4 or so figures a wave, there are typically massive gaps between waves. It won't be as bad as Mezco (which will take decades to get us anything near what we'd like), but it'll still focus on main players/A-listers for quite a while. Might grab a couple of my faves if they're figure-inspired, but cartoon just ain't my thing. Excited that the brand is getting such play! Yo Joe!

I have no interest in Reaction figures. But I absolutely love their ultimates line. Currently collecting TMNT and Thundercats. Yes, I know they are expensive at $55 and it takes a long time from preorder to shipment but I really like the designs in that likely they’ll do the original toy designs that I grew up on and the articulation is just right. I’d rather have a better looking figure with fewer cuts.

Based on the kerning and lettering shapes at the top and the bottom, I would say it is - Reaction - Ultimates - Cyborg.

you can see it clearly. The top portion looks like fanfest or hasbro. I also wouldn't be surprised if the ultimates were O-Ring style in 7" scale.

I'm interested in seeing all three: Reaction - Ultimates - Cyborg.
But I am most excited to know what the Ultimates will look like and what characters will be in that line. |

5 poa reaction Joes. Hehehehe that's hysterical.
If the ultimate offerings are 1:18 then cool, if not it's just a shame. Giant android cyborg could be fun if its 1 of the following Sea serpent Water robot 6 armed stone warrior from revenge of cobra Or snake robot from revenge of cobra If the ultimate sets are 1:12 it seems counter productive since Hasbro has the CLASSIFIED line and snake eyes movie line. But I will be laughing hard about the 5 poa reaction line. Hasbro should allow funko reaction the star wars license, at least then the 5 poa would be a proper homage. 5 poa goes against everything that made arah work, and is an insult to the brand. I'm sure those who read this might find my words hostile, but 5 poa on a Joe.....shameful
