The tip-toeing, shilling, and outright butt-kissing in those videos is painful to watch.

The Haslab CC is a almost straight remake of the original ARAH figure. Most of the current reveals like Dusty, Zaranna, Tomax and Xamot, St. Slaughter, Stalker, Falcon and Outback have all been heading towards being straight remakes. I think eventually Classified will end up being exact remakes of the original ARAH figures. I have come to accept this although I still wish that this line would include versions of the characters from all past iterations. I think that any chance of getting newer, updated designs like we saw in the first few lines (like the promo art Storm Shadow)is all but gone. I will still be getting the Sunbow Super7 figures because I loved the show and I see the differences but I wonder if I will be in a small minority once Classified goes full original ARAH designs.
Like I cobbled together Grunt V3 and Hawk V3 and went "Why the hell did I buy these as a kid? - they look stupid." |

I stopped watching or reading Fwoosh a long time ago because of the Super7 MOTUC license stuff. They just totally ignore any problem and act as though we should be thrilled with everything. Pixel Dan has the same issue. I know it's about "buying" access through toadying, but it's just awful to watch and we learn nothing important.

I don't mind a reviewer shilling for a line. Maybe they really ARE that excited for it and overlook the flaws?
I got super excited for my NECA Cartoon April that I tend to overlook the flaws just because I finally have a 6 inch April. I can't force myself to hate it. Hell, I seem incapable of seeing any flaws with Classified - I even bought two of each movie figure! |

The issues with Super7's MOTUC figures were so widely known that Flynn was admitting the problems, just not to people like Fwoosh or Pixel Dan. They shipped Teela with the wrong hip pegs for goodness sake (meaning her legs are pushed out too far from her body). The Fwoosh guys even got snippy in the comments when people were asking how they could overlook this. They are obsequious because it gets them access and free things to review. They aren't blind.

So he mentions Wave 1 of Ultimates will ship from the factory early August. And he said "you never know what will show up at the secret GI Joe event." So an early release or maybe an exclusive would be awesome. The GI Joe event he's talking about is that they'll redeco their entire San Diego store for just GI Joe products, it's not far from the convention center so I'll definitely check that out.

Ya. Guessing that he is refering to a special SDCC item. Prob a glow in the dark Ultimates Snake Eyes like the retro set figure. Either that or an easy toy style redeco of the Bat, or Duke.

Cartoon April depresses me even more than Classified Cobra Commander. Just such a huge misfire. And Fwoosh totally ignored the issues (and repeatedly refuse to question NECA about what happened). NECA finally conceded in December 2021 that they are revamping her for a future release.
