If this remains the case going forward, I'll be sure and keep my expectations nice and low. Then anything they do that comes out better will be a pleasant surprise.

Even if I'm not a fan of a less detailed aesthetic, if the worst thing I can say about ReAction+ is that it is consistently not my cup of tea, it's still more reliable than the "newsculpt" era. I'll take a dozen less-detailed, less articulated figures in the vein of their Snake Eyes V2-based figure than the super wonky proportions of the better-articulated (in terms of POA) 2003 Night Creeper.

yeah i hate new sculpt gijoes just as much as i hate modern sculpt military figures. probably more.
whatever genius that thought "hey, we'll take the o-ring out of gijoes and the torso articulation too" deserves to never be employed in the action figure business for the rest of my natural life. (and im an angry miserable person, im essentially immortal) barrel roll was the best thing of that turd of an era. |

Sweater Destro and Lab Dr. Mindbender are the only ones I dig.

While largely a huge miss (and even larger disappointment, as one roped back into this hobby by the RAHC 2-packs), there were a few gems sprinked in, even moreso in the vehicle department. Even so, those gems still don't really mesh with a traditional ARAH collection very well.

Anyway, that vehicle looked so rad. Handles for swooshing action on a jet are always a fun addition.

i really wish they put more effort into spy troops instead of a gimmick of the couple of months. agent faces is cool. the only vehicle i have of that period is the rhino(which i got recently because they're had to get) and venomous maximus' thing. (vm was a concept that was super cool, btu the figure is total garbage). i'd also like a rocc. while the toys may get me upset for what could have been some characters were pretty good. barrel roll (without the family bullshit with his brother and sister), agent faces, venemous maximus - that's all i can remember and im not going to root around for more. The only new sculpt that really caught my eye was Zarana V4. Had a really nice look to it.
BTW, is that one of the fragile figures from the era? Because I was thinking of getting her since my OG Zarana has finally kicked the bucket. |
