I searched, but couldn't find a thread like this already open, so figured I'd start one myself.
Let's talk G.I. Joe Classified vehicles; what's been released, announced, and what we want to see next in--& in the future of--this line! Last edited by BodyMassage; 06-06-2021 at 12:21 PM.. |

So, my Joe fandom was born more out of the vehicles than the characters. Not saying the Joes & COBRAs weren't something I quickly began to appreciate, especially as the figures got more detailed as the years went on, but my first memory of GIJ toys was seeing a friend's vehicles.
I get that a 1:12 GIJ line can't be a heavily (or even moderately) vehicle-centric line for a variety of reasons, & that Classified has really been about detailed figures with (for the most part) a fair amount of accessories for each figure, so far. But ONE vehicle released for 27 figures, & only ONE other announced, coming in at around #30, & both exclusives? Why haven't we gotten at least one small vehicle, on each side, in the main line? I'm really glad we've gotten the figures we've gotten, so far, the Target b.s. aside, but a new COBRA bike, that's a one-seater, that--imho--isn't that aesthetically pleasing, as the ONLY vehicle released, & released fairly early in this line's run, is disappointing to me. I honestly expected we would've gotten something like a COBRA Flight Pod, either with or without a Tele-Viper, in the main line, for between a $30-to-$50 price point, by now. And on the Joe side, I expected something like a Polar Battle Bear, with or without Snow Job or Alpine, for around the same price. Again, I get it, that the larger vehicles (even the ones on the smaller end like the VAMP), would be a lot to expect for a line so young. Yeah, the BIG vehicles are great HASLab fodder, but there are so many small, single-seater vehicles, that Hasbro could use from the ARAH line, or they could create new ones that hopefully look better than the C.O.I.L., that it's hard for me not to be disappointed at not seeing a C.L.A.W., F.A.N.G., Devilfish, or Armadillo, yet, considering just how ingrained vehicles are in the G.I. Joe franchise. Last edited by BodyMassage; 06-06-2021 at 12:19 PM.. |

Seeing that the Black Series got a Tie Fighter and a Snowspeeder released it shouldn't be unrealistic to see a Wolverine, Vamp or Hiss Tank from them.

I can see them making a ferret, since the twins and dreadnoks always drove them and those characters are on the classified roster.

Hopefully we get more vehicles. Fang, Skyhawk, Ferret, Devilfish, Cobra Night Landing, Armadillo, Claw, Trouble Bubble all seem doable.
The Vamp, Stinger, AWE Striker, Water Moccasin, Thunder Machine, HISS Tank, Wolverine would be awesome. Never happen but I’d love a Tomahawk, Dragonfly, Rattler, Hydrofoil, Skystriker or Whale. |

I hope we get some larger vehicles and I hope they sell well. Those Black Series vehicles have a tendency to sit around... of course it didn't help that the TIE was based on the sequel trilogy rather than the original. The Snowspeeder went up for order over a year ago and is still available on Amazon for regular price, although it does go on sale from time to time.

I would also like to see what happened if they released vehicles through HasLab. Not the huge $300+ stuff like they've been doing, but $50-100 items. That would at least get them produced without anyone having to sit on excess inventory and also be a new (better?) use for HasLab.

Yeah, I agree, though SW/Black Series are such an established IP & 6-inch line, that I think we'd have to wait a few more years for Classified to get that treatment.
