I’m on vacation and slightly buzzed at the moment. Other than Marvel (and perhaps Star Trek to a degree), has there been another franchise that has successfully strayed from the beaten path in terms of story and fan acceptance? Motion picture, not television.

He says “I’m Chilean”. Watch his interviews. Point is Ozy could have try to correct with a better example. Moving on to the movie. I’m very happy to see Golding and a fantastic team of actors of the modern martial arts in a film together.

You know why they choose to make SE Asian? It's becusce so many action movies have the same old "white hope/savior" story that has been told to death and most people are tired of it, even if it's part of the source material!
We should just hope the movie is good and if you can't get over the change than just don't watch the movie. It's that simple. |

If we don't promote it it will fail and they will start to bend the knee to actual fans in hopes that we will rally behind it and fuel their machine to make more stuff. The moment we say no is the moment we take control remember that. Companies DO listen if they didn't they will always lose money which is what is going to happen here. This will be an expensive mistake on their part. Those figures suck and so will this movie period. It wasn't made for us so why would we watch it?

it takes such a weak ass person to ride the tide when you know better..A weak ass will support this movie cause they think they have no voice and that their voice doesn't actually shape the future when it in fact does.. Fan protests are generally meaningless to the bottom lines of these movies. Especially with a brand like GI Joe whose truly passionate fanbase has been dwindling for years now. |

I’m probably going to pass on this. I’m not feeling any GI Joe vibe beyond some borrowed names.
