Anyone remember when oil hit $149 a barrel and they had to raise the prices close to 50%? Now it's increased to $54 a barrel so they need to raise the price?

If you want to make a point then just stop buying the new stuff.
We grew up in the 80s so we got to see the hey day of our beloved brand and its been ingrained in our hearts and souls. We owe nothing to new Hasbro. Our memories will last forever and nostalgia is in our minds and we have have to realize that we have full control of that aspect in regards to GI Joe (the brand). |

Quick, let's all pre-order the next ten years' worth of JOEs on Hasbro Pulse so we can get locked in on that $20 price!

Frankly, I would *love* to see a 'subscription' service - like, give us $299 up front, and we'll send you every release for the year. Throw a Chuckles in there, no sweat off my back. As a collector, I really have three sources of stress: 1) I'll find the product in stores or get it shipped, but it's super damaged 2) I won't be able to find the product in store, so I'll have to waste my time looking online or worse, paying an eBay premium. 3) I thought I had three, but suppose it's just two. The logistics here may be a pain and reliant on knowing what an annual release calendar would look like in advance (and being able to meet that with minimal delays). That all said, if enough consumers are willing to commit to buying X figures at Y price, that could help toymakers better predict how much raw material they need now, so they can either buy at cheaper prices, or negotiate lower rates buy prepurchasing or bulk purchasing.
