I don't following the gaming world as closely as I should but I thought Wizards of the Coast was a board game company? They do video games now too? So will this be out on platforms like Operation Blackout was this past fall?

Frankly, as a dungeon master, I've been interested in delving into a GI Joe tabletop game, with miniatures, but just haven't gotten around to it. It seems like it might be interesting but might not be the most widely appealing. So, yeah, something like that would probably happen because Hasbro owns it and seems to hate the franchise enough. Lol, I'm still salty and bitter about them calling reissues of 25th anniversary a retro line. Also, they can eat a thick one for giving Gung Ho a proto nazi tattoo on his chest and not making him a marine. What will the soccer moms do next...

That is definitely a transforming HISS Tank and I am here for that design making it to toy form.
My only concern with this is that it feels like we're reaching a point where the brand is getting diluted before it gets fully off the ground yet. Hasbro should nail down which is the "main" universe before they start introducing a bunch more interpretations of the same handful of characters. We've got Classified/Operation Blackout, we've got the movie (sometime in the next year or two) and the Lady Jaye series which may or may not be linked to the movie, and now we'll have this. Not even including classic/ARAH or Fortnite versions, that's three different interpretations in the span of a couple years. Transformers and Marvel get away with this kind of thing because they're super-established brands that have had continued success. GI Joe is barely starting a resurgence and they already seem desperate to fling things at the wall to see what sticks, and that doesn't seem healthy for the long-term. |

First thing I noticed. Might end up being a cool nod to wounded warriors. Like said above, "He's more machine than man."
