Well, sounds like the Joe brand is starting to have a little bit more mainstream in the media than in the last 3 decades

Lorenzo Di Bonacrap should be out from Hasbro immediately.

If they want to make a really awesome GI Joe game they should just copy the Far Cry formula. I can't get enough of Far Cry. I can imagine a GI Joe game that looks & plays exactly like Far Cry & it is beyond awesome!

Ghost Recon on the other hand. That is the perfect Joe game. An open world military sandbox where you can do just about anything. Also a big thing about Joes is how they look, which is one reason I would not want a FPP game. 3rd PP can offer so much more. Especially for the joes. All Hasbro would really need to do is get Ubisoft to make some DLC. The games already have so much in them. However I'd think it would be wise to wait for the next GR game before they work together. Ubi really needs to step up their game next time. |

This is good cause most companies are not interested in doing IP related games anymore, unless it's something massive like Star Wars, AAA game development takes too long and costs too much and because licenses expire and profit sharing, most publishers have shied away from it. This is why so many licensed IP games are crap or go to budget developers.
Now Hasbro is making their own big budget games and this is what their IPs need as games are bigger than toys with the younger gen these days. If they can make a decent game, it can be big for the brand. |

When I consider how much money I've spent on Fortnite figures for my son, I agree; a great game can drive a lot of awareness and merchandise.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura has no power at Hasbro. He's just the guy "in charge" of Transformers and G.I. Joe movies. He has no say in what Hasbro does with any other media, whether it's video games, cartoons, or toys etc. |
