A year ago I was so excited about collecting this line. I had 00 Snake Eyes on the way and Duke, Scarlett, and Roadblock all pre-ordered. The most controversial thing about these figures were the gold armor and Scarlett's paint scheme. After a year of frustration trying to buy any of the exclusives, my excitement is completely gone and I just dread any announcement that has anything to do with Cobra Island.

I haven’t looked at the BH prices for awhile and then I saw your post. That figure exploded on eBay. What’s funny about that is I actually saw BH a few times. Once I got Target blocked then I found him and saw him once again before the end.

Folks may want to keep in mind that the Cobra Island exclusivity deals (and the orders for the numbers of figs that Target would get) were likely in place before the line ever debuted. Hasbro couldn't alter them without either breaching their contract with Target or convincing them to allow them to alter it.

Whether or not it said specifically which characters Target would get or not from the jump I don't know. But the number of figures and the amounts ordered were probably all but set in stone long before anyone realized how popular the line would be and how the perfect storm of circumstances in 2020 brought about the great Target Exclusive Apocalypse.

GI Joe Classified is one of the most poorly managed figure lines I've ever seen. Seems like what ever Hasbro does, they seem to really mess up. Remember that Cobra Command Netwrk debacle before Cobra Island? Then just the poor handling of the Target Exclusives. Even if this deal has been in place and they can't get out of it, they could at least acknowledge that Baroness, Beach Head, Firefly, and Viper are going to be released in the main line. Honestly, I've considered dropping this line several times over the past few months and maybe Hasbro does get their act together and they are able to meet the demand by 2022. How many people will still be collecting this line by then?

Will hang around long enough as long Hasbro still makes them ... but even I have my limits. Having promoted a 6” Joe line for years ... and gotten most everything minus Target Cobra exclusives. So far the frustration of finding any of these at brick and mortar is practically nonexistent. All e-tailers and online purchases have been the saving grace of collecting this line let alone knowing these even exists without cartoon or program ....I am surprised the line is around at all.Maybe the Snake-Eyes movie will help and things will get a better and wider presence but poor communication, erratic distribution and even some odd character choices are starting to have me guessing on how long this all will last ...until Hasbro pulls the plug and decides go in another direction... Again.

I remember that feeling of excitement as well. And now I also have a sense of dread with every upcoming announcement. It shouldn't be that way.

As a positive, it goes to show how great the GIJOE team is doing with these figures. Sure, we can nitpick details, but I love every figure they've released so far–gold and all. If these figures looked like absolute trash, I wouldn't even care about finding them.

No hate mail when I say this please but with the whole scalper stuff going on they are supporting the line. Even though they are sticking them on Eprey(see what I did there) at ridiculously high prices.

They may be supporting it in the short run, but they are killing it in the long run by driving all the real collectors away. There is no excuse for scalping or anyone who scalps. We need to stop trying to justify it.
