They are a low concern for Hasbro, so they aren't going to even remark about them. They only exist as something really cheap to get GI Joe exposure in those venues that don't generally carry "mainline" toys. I can't help but wonder if it was an "error" situation where a case was accidentally shipped out. Or maybe stores cancelled their orders when the movie got pushed back a year (scratch that, about half a year) since these are likely intended to help the broader Joe push the movie was supporting.

I have to say I personally don't like these figures, but I do see where Hasbro is coming from when they sell them. Good for lower income families and exposure in as many markets as possible. I look at it as a positive in the sense that these younger kids will grow up and want the better G.I. Joe Action figures, so if it helps to continue the more detailed/expensive lines for the future, please do...

Hmmm, don’t know if I need these but I can’t trust myself to not leave with them if I find one in the wild

I dunno why hasbro keeps making these things. I see very few of them actually sell. Most just clog shelves for a few years before being shipped to ross and other discount retailers where the still clog ahelves.

They are likely super cheap to make, and a quick buck. They are also typically targeted at budget stores and likes. One and done, even if some don't sell, they are cheap enough that no one cares that there is some waste.

I have absolutely no problem with them doing titan class figures. Kids under 5 seem to love them for Marvel and Star Wars, and its a good way to get new fans into the lineup.
That said, I hate that they have the classified label on them. Why? Marvel Legends is collector quality six inch figures period. Star Wars Black Series is collector quality six inch figures period. See also: Ghostbusters, Power Rangers, etc. etc. etc. They should not be using the Classified label on these. |

I'm not sure this is true. They move at all the stores near me, and the only ones I saw in clearance stores were the ones where the movie didn't sell toys well at all anyway (lots of Jyn Erso from Rogue One, for example). The Marvel ones fly off the shelves, and the GI Joe ones from the last movie did too.
