One of my pals has a few sons and they LOVE these figures. They're between 3 and 6. They fight and throw and slam them together. The figures are very solid and build to take abuse. Those boys must have like 40 of them in their living room toy box, mostly Avengers.
Oddly, this same pal of mine told me that he had seen GiJoe Titans back in like August and I didn't believe him (although I didn't tell him so). Seemed to me he might be misidentifying the characters. Could he have actually seen some of these half a year early??? But, slowly and silently these just popped up. It is possible that your friend saw these at a retailer who actually placed them on sale on the original Street Date. |

Storm Shadow's mold is the Artic version from the waist down. Upper torso just seems to be something generic they tossed together. I still don't think this is what Classified Storm Shadow is gonna look like.
Look how Snake Eyes is so closely modeled after the Classified figure. Only SS's bottom half has that kind of detail. |

It's important to set future joe fans expectations low as early as possible.

Hasbro, give your head a shake.. these are really bad. At the very least put some effort in detail and paint.. did Marc paint these himself?
BTW, where are all the Joe toys on the shelves.. isn't it Xmas Shopping time? Epic fail.. you are all fired! Last edited by deathvalleymachine; 12-16-2020 at 02:51 PM.. |

I'm pretty sure these are the discount 5" figures not the 12" titans. You can tell by the lack of leg articulation and the packages.

They actually look better than I would have thought. Hell, Duke looks better than both Retro and Classified.

I certainly hope Classified SS doesn't share the Artic SS legs. The lack of a cut joint annoys the hell out of me. But it seems like a lot of trouble to make something that isn't accurate to the yet to be shown 1/12th figure. These are new molds. Why intentionally change the design unless Hasbro revised said 1/12 design? I hope I'm wrong.
His "detailing" only comes from the strap of his arrow bag. From waist down, the detailing is the same as Arctic Version. Only whiter. So, his Titans look is actually accurate to the look. Last edited by SilverOptimus; 12-17-2020 at 01:29 AM.. |

Seems like a huge wasted effort.

We've seen three artistic renderings of the "regular" Classified Storm Shadow.
He has a belt with with a long loincloth in the front and back. He has kneepads. That's the only similarity to Arctic Storm Shadow. None of the sculpting in the belt or loincloth or knees or shins on the Artic figure match the artwork we've seen. They are a dead ringer on this simplified Titan figure, though. Even the Titan figure's head is just the Artic version without the hood. We know for a fact that won't be the regular head cause it doesn't have the goofy Mortal Kombat mouthpiece. Based on these three pics, I don't think the regular Storm Shadow is going to share any parts with the Artic Version. |
