BUT....they are still constrained by the resources allowed to them by management. They are still at the mercy of marketing people who insist on multi lingual cards (despite this line likely NEVER to see release in international markets). And more than anything else...they are at the mercy of a shoe-string budget and limited time frame for which to develop products like this. That said, while I can understand the complexities and issues...a bad product is still a bad product. At the end of the day, this line was developed as quickly and cheaply as possible, and it shows in the final releases.

Highly disappointed.
I tucked my tail and ate crow while hunting down wave 1 for my son. He really geeked out over the HISS box (thanks SBartek!) so I've been picking the line up for him (well, for both of us, but you know what I mean). I've had wave 2 on pre-order since the last FFFforfucksakeFriday event. This wave is shit. I pre-ordered 2 of each knowing it was shit. I pre-ordered 2 of each after sitting through Nigel Thornberry's nonsense yet again. Now that I've come down from the "new joe" high? I canceled my pre-orders for all but one Lady Jaye. I can't support this. I can't give my hard earned money for the sake of keeping the line alive. That's Hasbro's marketing team's job, not mine. All in all, I give this 0 meowmeowbeenz. |

On the flipside—and maybe it’s because the bar is so low—that Scarlett has moved quickly back up the rungs for me. I now think it’s legitimately top-notch. Not perfect, but easily the class of Retro thus far. Can’t wait to score one!

Got budget constraints? Then don’t offer a figure you can’t make without embarrassing yourself. Because—yes—NO Duke is better than Retro 2007 Duke.

Then again, if that's what their idea of new sculpting is...maybe this Duke actually WAS the best possible outcome. I shudder to think of it...

The only one I semi liked was Lady Jaye. However, I prefer her with the head without the hat, even though that isn't a match of how the vintage one looked, but based on Duke, matching the vintage look doesn't seem to be a priority.
If they gave her the head from the 5 pack, I might have gotten her cause I like the darker green colors, so I'm just passing on her and keeping my custom. Cobra Commander, well, I have the Retaliation one so there is no reason to get this, plus the way the torso to waist set up is, it's just oo weird. As for Duke, he was the one I was most looking forward to as we have yet to have the ultimate Duke in the modern line. What they presented for Duke is just unacceptable. I would have been even more accepting of Duke if they just re-released the 25th one with the corrected wrists and one of the newer Duke heads. Basically I'd be happy if they just gave us this: with the head on this Duke: The only thing I don't like about my modified Duke is that the arms are very fragile as I modified it so he didn't have suicide wrists.

I'm glad I can divert Joe money to Marauder, Joy Toy, CFT and others.

Budget restraints are no excuse.
So many people have shown time and time again the ability to make good figures using existing parts |

I think Hasbro, in particular the designers, really DO know what collectors want. Everything that I've seen says that the design guys are generally fans of the lines they work on, to some degree or another.

Hasbro is determined to never make an adequate ARAH Duke, it seems.
