Yeah, if you are concerned about packing, I wouldn't go the Amazon route. Good thing I am not! And Pulse is just so slow. I ordered a Snake Eyes from Pulse because Amazon was out of stock but then Amazon put it in stock and shipped it quicker than Pulse was able to fill and ship it.

Just preordered Classified Flint and Lady Jaye!
I didn't notice during the livestream but now I see Flint has a scar. I am not a big fan of it. I think both Flint and Lady Jaye turned out awesome! They are some of my most favorite characters. |

Well, that was entertaining!
It didn’t make me want to buy anything, but I did laugh harder than I have all week, so for that I’m thankful. The opening T-shirt sales skit with Paul Strickland and Halle Sinnott was like fingernails scraping on a chalkboard, but Halle redeemed herself by including a comic appearance trivia question later in the presentation. Lenny Panzica did a fairly good job describing the newest Classifed figures, which look really good in my opinion, but I don’t collect any six inch scaled figures, so I just look at the pretty pictures. The real credit goes to the unseen employee, Cory Cantelupe, who they mentioned repeatedly throughout the presentation. His diorama photography and sculpting details for the Classified line was the highlight of today’s show. I can’t defend Mark Maher, because he keeps screwing things up during his presentations, and both the Duke and Cobra Commander figures were extreme let-downs today. It wasn’t unreasonable for us to hope for, or to expect, better of Hasbro regarding these Retro figures. Lady Jaye looks fine with the new face printing technology, but otherwise doesn’t seem like $13 worth of action figure. Because we didn’t see the back of the figure’s printed card for the cross sell, I wonder if the other three unmentioned action figures have all of the new sculpting efforts or accessories put into them? Hasbro, offer Cory Cantelupe a pay raise and promotion, and then allow him to save the G.I. Joe Retro line before it’s too late! |

So if Lady Jaye and Flint are 25 and 26 aren't we still missing some numbers?

After seeing this, I'm done with the Retro line. Cancelling the rest of my pre-orders now.
I tried to give them a chance, they look nice (although that Duke is a joke) but when you get the figures in hand, ugh. No wonder Hasbro has failed so hard on GI Joe. They've forgotten to make toys that are fun to play with. These modern figures aren't fun. Backpacks fall off. The feet pegs are so tiny they don't stay on vehicles very well. You have to twist and manipulate arms to get them to move. Great for poses. Crap for play. GI Joe is a hot mess. 6" is decent, but the exclusives - ie gifts to scalpers - of mainline characters not re-decos put me off and to be honest, I like the figure and vehicle combination 3 3/4 GI Joe offers. The 'retro' line is such an unmitigated dissapointment. At least MOTU and Transformers updates made the figures more accurate, more posable. These new 'retro' figures can't even look up and down like the 85 figures could. Such a shame. |

I tried to preorder on pulse at 10 am. The button to complete the purchase just kept spinning like a wheel of death and then it said sold out. Glad I had Big Bad Toy Store as a back up. What a joke.
Also, retro Duke....What garbage. They could have knocked it out of the park with something really amazing and they gave us that. They're so lazy and incompetent over on the retro line. |

I think they modelled Lady Jaye's likeness directly on Mary McDonald-Lewis. Anyone else seeing it?
