I will support the new Snake Eyes movie, I'm sure the martial arts will blow us away - can't see a Netflix series ever unfolding if the current lineup of offerings aren't supported.
Still will be wishful that they create an ARAH movie in the future that brings 1983 to 1987 to life and deliver its biggest perspective. Call Larry, call Flint Dille, call Ron Friedman, call Bozigian.. He was the main advisor on the comic, the commercials and the cartoon.. his team, the list goes on.. they will know what to do.. anyone have the old Bible? call Rudat... They all worked with Levine, Im sure they would be happy to be producers and advisors for a special G.I.Joe project. Hahahahahahaha Yo Joe! Some people are so insightful they know to avoid bread that's turned purple. Others need to eat it first.
The doe-eyed optimists are funny. Don't stop believing, guys! New G.I.Joe movie announced: "Yes! New G.I.Joe movie!" Henry Golding announced as Snake-Eyes: "It could be great!" First trailer arrives: "Uhh.. it could be great!" Oct 21, 2021: "It could be great, honest!" Oct 22, 2021 (or whenever): "Oh..." And of course there's always that one guy: Oct 22, 2021: "It was great, honest! It said G.I.Joe in the title!" |

The movie is about Snake-Eyes' origin. I'm glad it may not have too much Cobra in it (speculating on my part). Not everything needs to be so tied together.
Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow will likely still be friends in this movie. Maybe SS "betrays" his in the end. Who knows? The origin of SE and SE unfolded over years in the comics. They don't need to cram that whole story into one movie. We do know Baroness is in the movie. I think that's sufficient for a Cobra presence. Let the story unfold as it does. We don't need an exact duplication of RAH on film. Also, saying Marvel films have been accurate replications of their comic stories isn't true. They have changed plenty even if they keep a comic story's name. I'm continually surprised at how close-minded people are. You have the RAH comics. You have the various cartoons. They're all different. Let this jumpstart of the film franchise to do its own thing. |
