Roadblock looks more like Heavy Duty.

On the flipside of that, I'm totally grateful for any kind of uniformity with the Joes. If it weren't for the articulation, you wouldn't have known any of those characters were from the same toyline, let alone on the same side! And unless I'm blind some Joes don't have it (Snake Eyes) and on others it can be removed (Duke's bandolier).

Very nice pics of the figures! I know the whole debacle of the release of these figures plus stuff getting sold before what most stores stuck to their guns on the 8/14 street date was such a stressful and expensive go around local Targets and frustrating, one of the silver linings on this is I at least was able to get most of figures I wanted in the mainline too.
So those things are officially called JoePros like those things most of the Joe team had in Classified? |

Not too worried about Roadblock because at least there is the wave one figure with the same gun I don't like at all. Since they didn't go with the name Heavy Duty perhaps that means we will actually get a figure with that name somewhere down the line.
Baroness I figure there has to be a release at some point without the bike. Although as a Marvel Legends collector I'd really like this set since it would be not only getting Baroness for my Cobra collection but the helmet and the motorcycle would improve my Marvel Legends Overdrive custom to finish off the Superior Foes of Spider-Man. The Hydra trooper and AIM bare bones release from Hasbro Pulse gives me some hope that they will go troop builder for Cobra the same way. Honestly not too crazy about the vest on the Cobra trooper so I could live with the change. What worries me is if this is our only shot at Beach Head. Not upset at fans finding the figures because heck isn't that we are all hoping to do? I'm upset with Hasbro because they have known just how hard it is for collectors to obtain Target exclusives and yet here we are again with empty handed collectors because Target can't get their game together. It would be nice if Hasbro could at least give us a heads up of don't worry if you can't find the exclusive because there are other chances at the characters. They should clarify if exclusive means character or mission gear. |

GREAT photos. As always.
I was lucky enough to be able to get one on the morning of the 14th at a Target near work. Me and 7 other guys waited for 25 minutes for the employee to "get it off the truck". There were only 6 in the box, so 2 of them walked away with nothing. But the good news is, everyone was friendly and civilized, we were chatting about GIJoes and what a fiasco this whole Target GIjoe wave has been. A dash of paint on Beach Head's guns made all the difference. (BTW, the blue accent on the gun is actually true to the box art, so I decided to stick with that) Last edited by cyclopswc; 02-06-2021 at 10:27 AM.. |

That looks great! I just started painting up my own figures and it really does make a difference.

I was able to score a Cobra trooper, beach head I saw but didn't even realize it was an exclusive and didn't think how hot the joes would be again :P Hopefully they'll make more of these to put out.

The pictures are always great, but the apology is ridiculous because there's nothing to apologize for. This is exactly what I argued on the failed release date a couple weeks ago. You clearly made a conscious choice to look at the price, decide whether or not it was worth it, type in your payment method, and hit "purchase." In no way, shape, or form is this being "taken advantage of", nor does it warrant a death sentence on the person who sold it to you. Anyone who still thinks this way needs to grow the hell up. Personally I do not feel paying extra for these Target Exclusive Joe figures is worth it but that was not the case for the Target Exclusive Dino Charge Power Ranger. Did I pay double for it? Yes. But time and gas money were saved, not to mention the fact that anyone who thinks the seller made significant money off that transaction is a buffoon.
Pandemic or not, the days of making the rounds to all your local stores has past. There are numerous online retailers you can buy the basic figures from. You preorder them and you're done with it. The store exclusives can be an issue from time to time but I see very few people standing up to it. |

If anyone collects Star Wars Black Series or Transformers then you should be aware of Target exclusives. Ive seen plenty of Star Wars Black Series exclusives hit the shelves early and everyone scrambled just to show up months down the line and easy to track down. Same with Transformers. The Seekers 2 pack that just came out was gold. Now I have come across it at multiple stores . Just be patient. I was one that tried to secure some and was hoping this morning there would be plenty of stock. Nope. Roadblock was available for a bit and just saw him in stores but without the others I just said not yet. Beach Head seemed to be available online (received notification) but could not add in cart. I was able to add it really quick and then snagged immediately. I am hoping Target will recieve some new stock. Or maybe Hasbro will put out a Cobra Trooper 2 pack or similar to the Marvel line with Hyrdra/AIM troopers as a Pulse exclusive. If these are not available downt he road I may have to bow out of the G.I. Joe 6 inch line.
I can think of very few Hasbro exclusives that Target hasn't run into the ground. On top of that, like you said, Hasbro has a history of reissuing figures in one form or another (you know, like they literally just did with Snake Eyes). |
