-- I sincerely hope Hasbro doesn't put the Vipers up on that partner exclusive portal *for Pulse Premium members only*. What kind of cash-grab bullcrap is that? We can't even get them to acknowledge the issues in getting these waves (much less a majority of the line). |

Take some deep breaths. There was no need to attack people's character here. Derogatory criticism directed towards those that believe it should be reasonable to find Target exclusives at Target or have their Target pre-orders fulfilled seems like misguided criticism, especially when the criticism is delivered as insults rather than constructive tips or advice.

I doubt anyone was truly offended but it just seems like a strange approach to come into a thread devoted to a Target exclusive line and insult those that have tried (or are still trying) to obtain these figures via more traditional means (Target). Generally, I think many people in this thread empathize with other fans regarding the issues with Target's ability to distribute these figures. And we do so without name-calling or questioning each other's sanity. |

I don't mind summarizing but I won't do the nitty-gritty work for you. There were some less than tactful implications that people that expect to buy Target exclusives from Target are "insane" and that those that complain ("whine") about issues with finding these products and/or canceled pre-orders (because that is what people tend to complain about here) are "man babies".

One thing I would like to add just as a general thought is that I do see people from time to time mention how these are "just toys" or "just little plastic men". I know it is done to put things into perspective but it is also kind of like telling a librarian that all the books on their shelves are "just piles of paper". The point being–we are all here on this website that is devoted to GI JOE because it is something we all care about greatly. We all have our own reasons for loving GI JOE, our own personal histories with the brand and our own means of obtaining these figures. Some of us have limits that others don't have. Some of us have more money that allows for paying marked up prices on EBay while others have more time to spend hunting store shelves. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to "the hunt".
So when people are upset about not being able to get the figures they want, I think it is important to remember that everyone's experience is going to be different. |

There’s a good amount of full time & part time Karen’s here..lol
I think it’s great that anyone got them easy, wether it’s by chance or by clicking a buy it now option. I got mine but it was a damn all out marathon of getting up at 6am and lodging outside of Target, in line for weeks. But unfortunately that’s the way it was by me. |

*sigh* I can't wait for some 'real' news so things can calm the heck down on here. I make one snarky comment defending someone - then come back two hours later - and the world has melted down. "Karens", "Whiners", "Man Babies". Good golly, we need some news from Hasbro to talk about.
I guess the good news is that Slice is selling me a Cobra Trooper at cost... so there's that! ;) |

So when people are upset about not being able to get the figures they want, I think it is important to remember that everyone's experience is going to be different. I understand the frustration. I get frustrated at times to. But I'm not going to go off on someone because they offered another way that works for them to ease my frustrations. When you do that then yes I'm going to label you as a man baby! Let's grow up! There's no need to start bashing someone. We all share the same the nostalgia for GI Joe so we should have a decent conversations about it. The librarian analogy only works to a point. When you're collecting the toys and you're getting a certain satisfaction out of it I'm all for it but when your reaching a point to where you are so frustrated and you're taking your frustration out on other people by claiming that, Slice is only here "to crap on other people", that takes it to a whole new level and that's when I say, Cool down! They're only toys! |
