whether I've seen the contract or not I'm pretty damn sure there are strings attached that are preventing Hasbro from instantly flooding the market with Vipers, much less somehow magically making production of all those Vipers instantaneous and teleporting them directly into whiny collectors' hands the way some people are going on around here.
When a toy company locks in an order with a factory it can take a while to add additional product. Example: Hasbro orders 2000 of Figure A (which is a very small number and hardly worth prepping the injection press). Tooling is set and inserted into the injection press, Plastic is loaded, they fire up the press and churn out the order. Once that order is completed workers break down the tooling, clean and flush residual plastic from injection lines, and MOVE ON TO THE NEXT PRODUCT IN THE QUE that the factory and said machine are responsible for producing. These factories stay running 24/7. It's not like they hit "print" and a copy shoots out. In addition the injection presses are MASSIVE. It's extremely time consuming to prep and clean a press. I'm sure Hasbro gains a measure of preferential treatment but they do not have dedicated factories that only produce toys for them. Has anyone ever toured a paper mill or a large format magazine printer that uses a "web press"? If you had you would have at least a gross understanding of how incredibly time consuming prep and clean up is. Toy production is very similar.

I had to pick up some groceries this evening. Before I did that I stopped in the Target next door to the grocery store. Nothing on the shelves, they were all bare except a few McFarlane Batman, a few animated type looking smaller Transformers, Peter B Parker, one Fig of a character from Shang Chi was there (so that wave must have been there), no Star Wars at all, and only a couple he man and Skelator.
However I did take the picture of the barcode from Major Bludd and scan it and it came up as the pic below, no real info just that the barcode is good. The bottom of the pic which is fuzzy, that was the DCPI . cant read it |

Google tells me there were 1,897 stores in the U.S. in 2020. In every store gets 6, that means there will be 11, 382 available.
Pulse is supposed to have 10% (wasn’t that the number they said for retail partner exclusives?), so that would be another 1,138. Assuming all of that is true, there should be 12,520 up for grabs in the U.S. I don’t know if that makes me feel better or worse. He’s not an army builder, so I assume most fans won’t need multiples. However, I only ever saw Firefly once. NONE of the Targets in my area (roughly 20) got a case of Vipers - they all only received repack cases of 1-2 figures |

I've been trying that DCPI all over - doesn't come back with anything.
Thought maybe it was because the figure might be too far away - but since it is shipping to Targets right now, it should work. For comparison, the Snake Eyes movie figure is not supposed to come out until 8/1 - and it's DCPI is working on all Target systems and brickseek/popfindr 087-16-6780 |

Without production #s, hard to know if this is fact or not. It's possibly not the hottest, just under produced. I would love to see classified production #s compared to star wars black series.

I try to check PULSE everyday around Noon since stuff usually updates around that time, but I got tied up at work and didn't see my email from PULSE that arrived at 12:15 until 1:30 and they were sold out already. I am just getting so discouraged with collecting. If Major Bludd is as hard as these guys I may just drop the line, and I hate that. But I physically got sick to my stomach when I saw they were sold out.

Has anyone tried scanning the barcode for Bludd at a self checkout? I've been checking the local target each morning the last couple of days in the hopes of getting lucky and finding one (without asking a team member) and for fun I scanned the barcode from the Fwoosh review at a price checker but didn't think to check to see what would happen at checkout.
