Amazon Exclusive Storm Shadow all of sudden up on BBTS for preorder. Same thing happened with the Target Exclusive Gamorrean Guard last year. I believe everyone will get a shot at the Cobra Island deco figures sooner or later:
https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Produ...Details/134772 At this point, I'm most interested in my order for 2 infantry. I figure I will just turn one into a trooper and 3d print a Dragunov; sans the goofy soccer mom laser tip that it has now.

I'll await official confirmation of this BUT if it does turn out to be true, that'll be three strikes on Target in my book and I do not intend to just roll over for another round of this BS.

Ehhhh CI Roadblock hung around for MONTHS. And nobody’s trying to army build the season 3 firefighter guy. Let’s jus be glad (for now) that it’s not the CGs.

After waiting almost an entire month since I paid for it, my Firefly is finally arriving in about 90 minutes. I'm VERY excited.
Also a little nervous. I don't wanna break anything on it. |

Cool, good luck and have fun! And keep an eye on that drone so it doesn’t get into any funny business while you’re focused on FF himself...

P.S. For those who don't know what a "Snipe Hunt" is: "A type of practical joke or fool's errand in which an unsuspecting newcomer is duped into trying to catch a nonexistent animal called a snipe. The target of the prank is led to an outdoor spot and given instructions for catching the snipe; these often include waiting in the dark and holding an empty bag or making noises to attract the creature." It is scary how close this description is to looking for these Vipers. A type of practical joke or fool's errand in which an unsuspecting newcomer (G.I. Joe fan) is duped into trying to catch a nonexistent animal called a snipe (Viper). The target of the prank is led to an outdoor spot (Target Stores) and given instructions for catching the snipe (Hasbro live streams, message boards, Popfindr); these often include waiting in the dark (waiting in the dark before the sun rises in line outside Target) and holding an empty bag or making noises to attract the creature (asking employees about the missing figures). |

"...Where the problem lies for us as collectors of Hasbro toys is that Hasbro isn't a company whose goal is to sell niche product to niche markets. It's a "big" publicly-traded company whose shareholders expect to see its' product being sold by big-box retailers (and online of course). Yes, they've done the HasLab thing a few times now, but if HasLab ever became the "main" focus (or business model) of the company it would probably see its' stock nosedive...."
I think most of us, if not all, would be totally happy if we could just EASILY pre-order everything we wanted on their web site. I think it is an easy fix and easy 20% if they did that. They can then do what they've always done or do whatever the hell they want to get the other 80%. I won't care because IGM, baby. I got mine. |

"Went to one Target today and was told they didn't have either figure BUT another Target down the road had 2 FF's and 5 Vipers. I drove my down there, spoke with an employee who said they did just receive 5 Vipers but did not have the FF's. They weren't on the cart that the guys stocking sporting goods and toys had so she went to the warehouse, spent about 30 minutes and came back empty handed. She told me to come back later in the day and hopefully they would find them.
I really appreciated her looking but this is the 3rd time between two stores that their system have said they have the figures in stock but the employees can't find them. I think I'm going to call it at this point." I did not say anything to the Hot Wheels guy but I immediately put two and two together. I remembered a security guy at this store at every Force Friday. He was there, in uniform, buying up Star Wars stuff and talking to other collectors. He was clearly a collector himself. I have recently seen him at said store working the early morning shift. So, I am going to take a guess that he got pissed seeing stuff he wanted to buy get bought up first thing in the morning while he was still on the clock and could not buy anything. So stuff now won't get put out until later in the day when he's off the clock and can buy it. It is "more fair" for him and no one else because only he knows when the stuff is getting set out and no one else does. So some of this come back later stuff we are getting is so employees get first dibs. Just BS and why exclusives need to end. Last edited by MGurlea; 01-28-2021 at 06:42 AM.. |

Be careful with his hip joints. When you open him I would look closely to see if the hip spins on the ball joint. If there is little to no movement I would sand down the ball just a bit.

One of the parts of this that continues to tick me off is that Hasbro DOES understand the Army-builder thing. They’ve done it with AIM, Hydra, and most recently even the Hellfire Club goons for Marvel Legends — plain packaging, direct ordering from Pulse, multipacks, slightly lower prices. BUT at the same time, it’s a pain to get single Stormtroopers or Cobra Troopers. So, does it just depend on the property? I would love to just be able to order a six pack of either and move on with my life.
So... They’ll have a few more chances with GJC: Crimson Guards, BATs, Alley Vipers, etc. when will they get it right? |
