Hit 8 Targets over the last week. MAN, I wish I had helpful employees like you guys.
One store I had to flat out ask them to check the back. Other two stores I asked two employees at EACH and nobody went and checked. They said "oh, G.I.Joe? We don't have them." "But the kiosk says you do." "Oh the system is slow" or "those could be online orders" or "they could be in someones shopping cart" or "still on the truck." One store an employee said he'd have to talk to a leader about getting the numbers adjusted after I told him the 7 had been there for weeks. Two weeks later, it's the same. BULL SPIT! Two of the stores have had the SAME. Seven. Figures. For. WEEKS! I KNOW the system is not that slow. Saw it with my own eyes. There ARE NO "online orders"! For the last 3 stores I adopted a new "don't ask" policy; If it's not on the shelf (especially if I've asked already) I don't even bother asking them to check. One store, come to find out from TWO sources, has a major theft problem. I pre-ordered Zartan and will not be making special trips to any Targets. FFForget them. I'm not playing games with endless employees LYING to me anymore, and I will mention that in any future surveys. I still have a gift card waiting for me at a local store because of a racist employee, so once I use that, I'll be "Target who?". Boycott? A partial one, yes. I won't be checking Pop or Brick, though I thank God for them. They helped me get Baroness, Gung-Ho and a couple Beach-Heads. Like I said; if I see it, I see it. If there's an employee near by and the kiosk says they have something, maybe. Guest service? Nope. Electronics? Probably not, as they've been more helpful than anyone at guest service. At least I'll be able to wear red again... I try to keep the Joe area clear and I'm not as nice about putting things back. I agree, there's probably not enough of us to make a dent in profits, however I'll still try to buy as little as possible. And if anyone finds an e-mail address for Target corporate, please share. I'd like to give them a piece of my mind. Same goes for Hasbro. We can and should complain until there is a change. @AskTarget is worthless. Told me my stores don't have any Joes, when EVERY system shows as many as 12. It's not easy to say how popular this line is because so MANY figures were sucked up by resellers. This clowns could, down the road after a couple more "hot" toys/toy line come out, dump this stuff at the nearest toy show. I mentioned before, I can play the long game because I am a Joe guy. Scalper scum have to have the newest, hottest toys. The sooner Joes cool off, the faster the prices will come down. End of rant. :-)

Oddly enough, one of my local targets has shown 7 in stock for weeks as well (wave 2) on their kiosk.

Maybe the system is incorrect?

My theories are;
a) They are "street dated" and they don't want to tell anyone lest there be a line on that day. b) They've been stolen by employees, or b-2) They've been hidden by employees, which is why they haven't edited the numbers. Or c), all this insanity, deceit and/or stupidity has made me a crazy toy conspiracy theorist........ I'm starting to feel like one of those people outside area 51 yelling "bring out the aliens!" Almost every time I'm in a Target, "can you check? "we don't have it." "I know you have it." "we don't have it." What can you do when they WON'T even go look.... I just know it's going to come to the point of talking to a manager. Especially when, by all accounts, everyone in the store knows these are "hot" items and fast sellers, and they STILL can't find them in the back?! I went through the same thing with Red Hulk. System showed 2 forever. Asked 2-3 different employees, "we don't have it." NOT ONE PERSON went to look, somehow they already knew. Then they were gone.

I just now received the Baroness in the mail today thanks to a fellow HIsstank member picking her up for me and I just have to say she is amazing. I now get what all of the hype about her is all about but I had no idea how big the motorcycle is. It’s huge and so cool with all of the details on it. I finally have the Baroness to pose next to Destro.

Scalper scum have to have the newest, hottest toys. The sooner Joes cool off, the faster the prices will come down. End of rant. :-) And now my rant starts... I agree about complaining to Target and Hasbro corporate, but the chances of actually getting a contact is slim to none. They don't want to be bothered with "trivial" customer issues. I personally have come to view Target with the highest possible disdain. The policies are so anticollector. And when I do ask an employee if they have Joes or know when they are coming in they either give the "I don't know" answer, or say with a smile "Oh, those sold out witin ten minutes of opening." No willingness to hold an item, no allowing purchases of more than one, and no offer to try to find a way to help. The 1 800 number is the same. They apologize for the frustration and do nothing to help fix it. Target corporate had the "grace" to apologize on social media for the confusion of the street date but offered no tangible solution for getting the items to the disappointed masses not able to purchase the items. Well, until they rectify the confusion with action their apology is meaningless. To me, it should not matter if the money we collectively spend there is a huge chunk of their profit or not. The simple fact is they exist to serve us and to see we get what we want. If they are only willing to do that for times when a large profit margin is at stake, it speaks to their true character as an organization. And don't even get me started on Hasbro. What are they thinking giving all these exclusives to Target??? They obviously have not heard the outcry from the fans that they claim are their top priority. These hot toys should be mass retail. Even if they can't be found at brick and mortar, they can be purchased at online retailers, and with no stupid limits of 1 or 2 per customer. I read on a post here a little while ago that Target exclusives are designed to increase foot traffic to help increase sales. Ridiculous reasoning. If a Target exclusive I am looking for is not there, I leave without purchasing anything. Now if they had a whole case of troopers or vipers, I am buying all of them, as I am sure all of us would. That $20 item i was looking for now just turned into a $120 purchase. Much more than most people directed to other in store purchases would spend. So if you really think about it, stocking these would increase sales much more than diverting people looking for exclusives to other store purchases. I wish Target and Hasbro would just figure this out. Yes, I am calling corprate for both to voice this and hopefully enough people will to get action.

My thoughts on 6” line are. Was not originally sold on these!
For in the wild I past on Scarlett, GunHo , both versions of Roadblock, and Duke many times . I have found only 2 snake eyes , Destro, and the other day Cobra Commander. I have gotten 2 cobra troopers, and 2 Baroness from asking store employees. Luck out big time that day ! Also luck out on ebay and bought 4 cobra troopers for $209 in a lot . I bought my 1 Beachead on ebay also. Have preorders for another Destro, Pimp Destro, and 3 Red Ninjas with BBTS . Don’t care if it takes awhile to get them. Plus I just order 3 cobra troopers v2 , and 2 Zartan from them also ! Will get 6 vipers, and 2 firefly. I am not worried about finding them . Will keep you guys informed if I come across any extra figs ( Retro or 6” line ) to trade on here with. I drive a 18 wheeler for a living. Go to Walmart and Target whenever I need supplies so I always check the toy section. |

Ok, yes, you do have a point. I just don't see why supply can't meet demand. I don't care if someone else buys 1 or 100 troopers, as long as I get the 50 I want. I just find it ludicrous that I am willing to spend $1000 and am being told that my limit is $40. I know not everyone wants 50 figures, but many would buy more than 2, and for a major retailer like Target and a major toy company like Hasbro, along with 2020 technology, there is no reason why I should not have the option to buy unlimited amounts. If nothing else Hasbro could skip the middle man and do preorders like Super 7 where the line is made to order. It's just frustrating.
