I know. The comment about the one store with one Baroness just means Target's distribution doesn't receive nearly enough product from Hasbro. I know how the supply chain works, it was just a simplified explanation of the issue. In any case, there aren't nearly enough Baroness figures in supply to meet demand and it is incredibly frustrating given Hasbro's complete silence on everything.
I just find it very hard to believe Hasbro would agree to do a Target exclusive and be okay with Target only signing on to purchase nowhere near enough figures to meet demand. Who knows, maybe everyone involved is stupid. NOW, that they are seeing how fast these are selling, they should have sales data, shipment allocations, and so on that they can use to hopefully entice retailers to invest more into this toy line instead of the tepid one case assortment per store that we are seeing in many places. |

Hasbro didn't know the demand really. By the time the agreements and production of these figures were agreed upon was way before they knew how popular the line would be. You also have GI Joe a toy line that all major retailers basically blacklisted years ago and would no longer stock, so they've had to get retailers back on board with these new figures. Without sales data to show how well these sold and demand, Target and Hasbro basically had to come to an agreement they would be both happy with.

I do hope retailers and Hasbro see how these are selling and are blown away by it. |

Toys don't have street dates. The date is the online "pre-order arrival date" which their handheld has labeled as a street date for some reason.
Target's system is broken, its the same problem that happened when the exclusive figures launched, and its been happening for at least a year, as random Transformers show up with "Street dates" even though they've been out for months. I suspect its never getting fixed. If you find the figures on the shelf, the'll sell fine at check out. If you give someone the 3310 DPCI to pull from the back, it won't show the "Street date" However, if you have them look up the figure by name, or scan the barcode on the box in a scanner, it will show the "street date" and the employee will not know what's going on and pull the figure. I received an email thirty minutes after I ordered that it was ready for pick up and popfindr showed that they went from 2-0 in stock.

The only time I was able to try that was with a Beach Head a couple weeks ago and it was canceled, only to have me go after work and see it on the peg. I got it in the end but still. |
