Hasbro doesn't distribute the product to the stores, they give them to target who chooses how to distribute the product. Products are all sent to central Target hubs which then pack the individual trucks which are sent to stores with their pallets/containers of merchandise for that location. The allocations and how they distribute to individual stores is up to Target themselves.
Also it takes months to make these figures, they simply can't snap their fingers and flood Target with more product. Orders for these figures were placed months ago, they were produced, shipped, and supplied to stores. Normal turnaround for figures can be anywhere from 3-5 months from the factories in China and getting them boated over to the US. Target also is the one who has to request and order more product, as much as Hasbro could want, they no longer are allowed to channel stuff stores like in the 80s, basically they got Target to agree to purchase a certain amount. Did Hasbro misjudge? Who knows, but it's Target that determines how many figures they order, not Hasbro. It's in Hasbros best interest to sell and ship more, but again folks keep missing the point that it's the retailers who determine how much product is going to be carried. Even if Target and Hasbro wants to get out more product now that it's selling well, they have to wait for production and shipping to get more to the stores. This is the other issue, it can take months to produce more figures and to get them to stores, Target will likely not want anymore if it's going to take 3-5 months to get more of the product in, by then demand will be dead so they will have no interest in purchasing restocks. The one thing that could happen, is that Hasbro did produce extra (which is normal) and have it on hand and can supply Target with more, but they would only have a limited amount of extra produced. I just find it very hard to believe Hasbro would agree to do a Target exclusive and be okay with Target only signing on to purchase nowhere near enough figures to meet demand. Who knows, maybe everyone involved is stupid. |

Thank you Target for kicking my July 23rd preorder down the road another 2 weeks. It would sure be nice if they would just say: "hey these are coming, just hold tight we've got you!" or "sorry, we suck!" I mean how hard is it to send a blanket email to all the unfulfilled preorders that these are on their way eventually?

I actually think the opposite for Baroness, there's more than enough to meet demand I've seen it first hand in my own state as they have been restocking very frequent and i've seen stock sit on shelves for awhile. The problem is that there are 100's of baroness/troopers on secondary market.
If you want Baroness to sit like ML Squirrel Girl or how Troopers to sit like ghost busters you're just asking for the line to die.

I can't believe that it made it to production. Is a character called, "Squirrel Girl," one that people were clamoring for? |

I swear it's just random at this point. I ordered those same figures at that same time; Baroness shipped weeks ago, Beach Head was cancelled. It's nonsense.

I ordered early in the AM on July 23 for Baroness and Beachhead. Beachhead shipped in late August and I received him. The Baroness finally shipped a few days ago, and I am set to receive her on Thursday.
So that's all good for me. But for those having issues, I recommend calling Target. I did in mid-August trying to see if I could find out what was going on. I was nice about it, no arguing or demands, just confused. The customer service rep ended up giving me a $10 gift code for the trouble. |

I ordered two more beachheads today for pick up. One was cancelled and the other was filled. I called the store and had them confirm that it was in fact beachhead and not roadblock that was picked and is waiting for me.
