Has anyone in FL found bludd? I haven't had any luck so far. Not sure if he reached the state yet, but I heard he reached Atlanta.

I checked last night at one of my Targets. The employees looked up the DCPI and it showed they haven't gotten any in yet and non on the way.

According to others that post here there are always long lines at opening of their Targets and they run into many other collectors or scalpers. Again this morning no line at this Target and just me and two other guys walked in at 8. Both of those guys went to get groceries and I was the only person in the back half of the store. I have only once ran into a Hot Wheels guy and two other collectors on January 1st. I have never seen these guys again. I have never seen anyone who I would suspect is a scalper. Whenever I ask employees about a figure it always seems like I am the first person that has ever asked them. BUT, my toy aisles are always picked clean, never stocked, and the exclusives are just as hard to find and disappear immediately. Are the scalpers and collectors late risers in my area? It is just weird because I always feel like I am the only one in this area looking but I still cannot find anything. |

Only a partially related story....I went to Walmart yesterday. Was curious to see if they have the Samsung Galaxy S21 for sale. Almost immediately an electronics employee came up to me asking if I needed help finding anything. I was genuinely confused and surprised because that never happens in so many years at the Walmart electronics section. You're always having to find someone.

Thanks for the update @ MGurlea
There were two other collectors looking for figures (both Joe & SW) this morning in Largo. I typically shop at the Clearwater location, where I've seen the same guy looking for Joe's, Legends, & Black Series multiple times; he just appears to be buying for himself. I really don't get the impression that the people I'm running into while hunting are scalpers. I never deal with long lines in my area, just no Joe's. As far as the empty pegs go, much the same here in the Bay Area. That said, the toy shelves in general were pretty well stocked at my local stores; a couple even had RB's on the pegs. But they only dedicate 2 pegs for Joe's, so there's never an abundance. I've personally never seen more than a dozen Classified figures on the shelves at one time, and that was for wave 1 (one time; at Wal-Mart). They are scarce and seldom restocked at my Target locations. Anyway, I don't mind looking in the toy aisle as a 36 year old, nor do I mind asking an employee to check. I don't mind or feel uncomfortable walking right back out of the store empty-handed either, because I was there for one item only. I'm always polite, never pushy. Most of the time the employees are helpful and the overall experience isn't awful. I understand people being embarrassed, but there's no reason to be. Someone that works in a retail store and would act disrespectful or condescending towards a customer shopping for an item sold in said store is pretty foolish.
