Unmasked Arctic Assault Storm Shadow (Variant?)

I just found this unmasked version on Taobao of the previously seen Arctic Assault Storm Shadow is it a variant or just an unmasked version similar to how we have an unmasked and masked version of SS from the first waves.

Here is the 1st version we saw everything looks the same card art, accessories, and body construction only difference is the head (obviously

)
Edit: one other small difference I just noticed is the sword handles are white on the unmasked version and black on the masked version.

Well, i would buy that over the masked one.

Also, this figure is more movie accurate, since SS doesn't wear the mask in that scene (or at least what we've seen so far)

I'd say running change, like M Renegade mentions he looks to be hoodless in the movie when he's fighting Snake Eyes around the shield generator Telsa Coil machine of doom. Bet the masked one was a mistake or at least a planned mistak...stupid variant BS..

Yeah your right the unmasked one is more accurate, but I'm not a fan of that head-sculpt, so I hope we get both masked and unmasked in equal numbers so they are not hard to find. I just don't want to deal with more variants.

Also, the unmasked one doens't have the torn tunic around his collar. And I'm also of the mind to say "screw the planned corrections". If there corrections, then the mistakes probably shouldn't have been made in the first place considering they been working on this line for about two years.

I think that he's probably wearing the full costume, and somehow he's got his torso's suit all screwed, and takes out the mask. That would explain the mask and the collar (the only portion left of the suit. No skirt neither)
