Do you collect high graded figures? Resin cased air tight? You don’t have to worry about those .
I agree, the hunt for the vintage is harder now for sure. People just don’t realize what they have. Then when they are ready to sell they hop on eBay and compare their piss poor MOC to the going market and think they struck gold. It’s definitely a headache. I’ve steered away from eBay “collector sales”. Usually Low grades and incorrect price point for current market values. Finding 85 grades and up is the only way I’ll buy ARAH now. Exposed figures with no resin cases are ticking time bombs Being a huge SW fan as well - this type of thing is why the retro Star Wars figures are so great - they look almost identical to the original figures, but are much less expensive & are presumably of better quality than the original figures (given that they're much newer & probably use superior plastic) - or at least plastic that won't deteriorate - yet. |

Anyway, concerning the "Retro" line, I walked down a toy aisle in my local Walmart and those peg warming "Retro" Star Wars figures just stuck out like a sore thumb to me. I am pretty much convinced that the "Retro" G.I. Joe line will be "repro" O-ring figures on those worn looking "Retro" cards. I just don't see how they can have two "Retro" type figures from different toy lines and the both not be replicas of the vintage figures. At least even the vintage O-ring figures had way more articulation than Star Wars figures. If they are O-ring figures, it'll be interesting how they handle pack-in/vehicle figures such as Clutch, Steeler, Hawk, and Grand Slam, because you know collectors will scream for the O13. Jason |

By “peg warming retro Star Wars figures,” do you mean those Empire Strikes Back ones? I am still trying to hunt those down, as they either never get to my Walmart or sell out before they reach the pegs. My buddy has seen 8-9 cases sell out at his Walmart, but they go so fast he has still never seen the last figure I need. I have never so much as seen a hint of these at retail and wouldn’t believe they exist had a friend not gotten some for me.
If they are truly peg-warming by you, please text me (I have news for you anyway). |

But, it's yet another ridiculous retail exclusive. Meaning it will be impossible to preorder, distributed incompetently, and a scalpers' dream. So I probably won't bother with it.

i discovered something this morning on the gijoe website. if u go to roles for the characters the seperate link they actually show all the characters they plan on releasing for the classifed series they were in red meaning they werent shown a pic yet. These are the figures I see that are coming. all the dreadknocks, Cobra BAT, Cobra Viper, Cobra trooper, Storm Shadow, Major Bludd, Roadpig, Crimson Twins, Baroness, and a few characters I didnt recognize. one might be a ninja of some kind. u can see for yourself. just go to roles and u will see all the characters coming out. I cant believe no one has discovered this before. https://gijoe.hasbro.com/en-us/filecardsystem. there is more characters under gear shown to.

I've had this discussion on TFW2005 before, but I totally disagree. The worst thing about Transformers toys is the fact they transform. It's why so many of them have giant backpacks, horrible seam lines, fiddly joints, and are ridiculously fragile. This Red line is brilliant.
All jokes aside, I outright refuse to buy a TF that doesn't. Action masters was a hard pass for me back in the day for that very reason. Different strokes and all that, but sacrificing the very nature of the toy itself for aesthetics is lazy as hell. |

yeah your right I found that out later lol. but anyways they do have a lot of figures listed on here that were never mentioned as being released. but I think this is for the 6 inch line, not the retro line. would be cool if they were released for both.

Exposed figures with no resin cases are ticking time bombs This is information from the AFA FAQ: Answers to AFA Case Questions Is the AFA Case UV-Resistant? Standard AFA cases are slightly UV-resistant. They will also protect your items by sealing them in hard acrylic to keep them in the same condition as when they were graded. They will not be touched by human hands and the hard acrylic prevents it from sustaining any additional creases, bubble dings, or other damage. In addition, 99% UV-Resistant acrylic cases are available for extra light protection. You can pay a fee to upgrade your case to the 99% UV Resistant acrylic or you can submit your items under the archival tier, which includes UV-resistant acrylic. For more information on UV-Resistant cases, click here. top Why is the AFA case sealed everywhere except the back? The acrylic case is sealed on all sides except for a slight opening at the back of the case at the bottom. We do not seal this edge to allow for air circulation inside the case. If we did not allow for this air circulation, the case would be subject to a "Terrarium" effect. In other words, depending on the temperature, the inside of the case could start to sweat. The unsealed edge alleviates this possibility. The acrylic cases are still considered sealed and the contents cannot be tampered with without being broken open. |
