I was able to find both Stalker and Cobra Trooper in Connecticut. It can be added to the list. Bought an O-Face Duke as well...lol. Besdies seeing Wave 1 Snake Eyes and SS last year this was the only other time I have found figures in the wild from the retro line.
The Wal-Mart I usually check had no figs but a looked to be at least 10 FANGS on the shelves along with 2 HISS Tanks (something tells me I am going to be buying one of them). |

Don’t know if it was a return or not, but saw snake eyes, duke, lady jaye, and cobra commander all on a peg yesterday in San Tan Valley, AZ.

46 Zone, you can add Nebraska to that sightings list. I hit all 4 Wal Marts in Lincoln, NE over the last couple days, most of them just had FANGs (tons and tons of FANGs), but the last one today had a whole case of Stalkers & Troopers. I just grabbed a Stalker for myself so there are two more & three Cobra Troopers left at the southeast store if there are any other Huskers out there looking.

Without opening him, Stalker is a really nice figure in person. I like that the color scheme is a bit darker than some of the posted pics make out. Still on the fence about the ascetic of the Marvel styled thigh cut but I’m sure it allows for better posing. My oG 13 customs use MGR harnesses. If I grab another to open I may swap out the harness. Other than that I’m a happy Joe fan. Had the straight arm Stalker in 82 as part of my third buy (with RnR and SE v1). He’s always been a favorite of mine. I’m glad they did him justice. He’s a righteous bad ass and prominent character in my favorite years of the Marvel run.
I’m maintaining my stance on that Cobra Trooper but I have an army of 30th, 50th, and DG troopers. I can always Fugazi a Beggarscanyon card back set if I really want that one on card.

Cobra Trooper is a solid figure. Feet are big, but even the hands aren’t bad in person. There is an aesthetic disconnect between it and Joes of old, but I think it’s pretty good. Honestly. A little paint detail would have made a big difference. I’m going to add some and see how it goes.
