Because of things like this, size, retailer reluctance, etc; beyond HasLab, I don't think the WHALE is realistic for retail. I hope Hasbro throws us a HasLab bone after the movie and lets us put our money where our mouths are. I promise I'm down for at least 3.
Realistically though, I'm betting the next Retro vehicle will be the Skyhawk to counter the FANG like the AWE did the HISS. While I'd likely get it, I'd prefer to see something along the lines of the Wolverine with Covergirl. I don't see a retail market for large size vehicles anymore. I just don't think that kids are as interested in vehicles and playset. So, an item like an updated WHALE would be more like buying one of those Haslab SW vehicles like the Razor Crest. I think that a retooled Wolverine would be easy. I own two Wolverines and I think if they simply cut out the foot section of the driver's box it would easily accommodate a 4" figure. Plus, I think Hasbro would do good to focus on some of the mainstream characters that were only released as either convention or FSS figures like Covergirl, Dial-Tone, and Footloose. Jason |

So Walmart online says that CC & LJaye are available for preorder again with a shipping date of 5/5. I still can't decide if it's better to KEEP my November preorders for the 2, or cancel reorder again to try & lock them in. Will they ever honor the November preorder?... it just says delayed & not cancelled.

I think if we get any more vehicles, it'll be the same ones we got in the 25th line, since we got a hiss, awe, and a fang, which we got years ago. I would like something different, though, especially if it's something I didn't have as a kid, like the wolverine.

Does anyone knows the names (not the code names) of the rumored 4th wave of Retro figures?

I definitely agree. Hasbro has messed up with vehicle scaling even more by producing 4"+ action figures. All the old vehicles were based on the old 3-3/4" scaling, and to really make the old vehicles look right it would take more than just a simple retooling. I mean look at the MOBAT. That tank looks ridiculous with a new 4" figure standing in that turret.

Jason I don’t know the Paw Patrol has tons of vehicles and play sets and those sell super well. And don’t get me started on Barbie. Barbie has vehicles and play sets and my kiddo seems to enjoy those too. |

I haven't had a Joe/Cobra vehicle since I was kid -- did the vehicles still require assembly in later years? Maybe, they should move away from that... |
