Went to a Walmart yesterday that had 14 Hisstanks, but not a single Joe, Star Wars, or even Marvel figure. It was odd. Even more strange considering I bought hisstanks from a different location months ago for $17 clearance. So one location clearances them out while another location is getting a bunch in?

Ugh I'm still waiting to see some of mine go for $17 but they honestly don't sit very long in my area. Now for some reason the AWE Strikers were $17 for a while and I did grab a few....

I'm hoping for an AWE variant with a Crankcase closer to how he looks on the back of the box. And it's the better oversupply vehicle. Without the stickers and overhead frame it's a fairly ordinary offroad vehicle to use with other 1:18 lines.

The HISS tank depends more on how many HISS tanks you want. There's really no dressing it down for a weekend fishing trip. Unless it's Old Snake which i am *checks eBay* not going to pay that much for.

So I'm guessing that either Pulse did not have very many Hiss Tanks or a lot of people decided to order them from Pulse because they are sold out now.

Other than the one time my son found Duke and Snake Eyes lying in a pile of other toys at Walmart, I have only ever seen HISS Tanks in stock. I've purchased five total–three for myself just because. I can't find GI JOE anything anywhere else so I might as well get what's available.

I still have CC, Duke and LJ pre-ordered from Walmart and they all show as delayed. You know, like every other pre-order I have ever placed. How many years do we have to do this before the pre-orders start arriving? Or do pre-orders only exist so that they can later be canceled?

Toy collecting is fun in the 21st century.

Right. Supply chains remains colossally effed up for a myriad of reasons largely centering around wildly shifting consumer demands, labor shortages, and COVID precautions (among other less obvious externalities).

This is almost certainly the most probably culprit explaining why we're seeing confusing distribution. Is there a ship waiting in a port overflowing with Cobra Troopers and Retro Fangs? Who knows - but it's almost certainly had an impact on Hasbro's ability to meet demand.

The HISS Tanks on Pulse were available for a bout 3 days before selling out, so folks did have a reasonable chance to get them.
