That looks so much better. The silver paint apps on the buckles and web gear are so much better. It’s so much sharper. The helmet is also more aggressive. That’s disappointing. Maybe this is them trying out a new factory and/or cost cutting measures.

Pulling the FANG from the website entirely suggests that maybe Hasbro didn't receive retail samples to evaluate until after the first batch had already shipped to Walmart. Knowing both Hasbro and Walmart, we're probably not going to hear anything about it either way for a while.

And in the stupid markup race, the MOTU Origins Castle Greyskull preorder pulls ahead at $176.73.

I know a guy who would buy tons of $100 plus LEGO sets at full price at various Walmarts, and take them to a particular Walmart in the middle of the city, with a very small foot print. This Walmart had protests against it being built, so it ended up being very small just to satisfy all of the protesters.

So at a certain point after their shelves were flooded with big $100 boxes, they would discount them all to $25 or so, some heavy discount, and then he would go back and buy them all.

He then knew a friendly employee, who he could bring in more of the $100 sets from other stores, get a $100 refund and buy it right back for $25 ish.

When that employee wasn't there (he knew their shift), he would return it right before their customer service closed for the evening. Like 5 minutes left. Then he would go read at the local comic shop across the street for an hour. He would then come back after that hour and the lights were off inside customer service. He would step in, and find the LEGO set waiting to be processed the next morning. He would grab it right then however, and buy it at a regular register.

He really abused the arbitrage at that store and never had any negative repercussions which I am aware of. The only thing that stopped him was COVID.

That combo only works if you keep the 25th head in the figure. That helmet/mask doesn't fit over the POC CT head.
