Yes sorry should have clarified. The person I quoted seemed to indicate more new sculpts were coming. Wasn’t sure if I misunderstood or if it was referring to some news I missed. I knew the pilot was a new sculpt.

Walmart definitely sucks for ordering online. In-store is convenient for me because there's one right outside of my neighborhood and it's convenient to simply pop in for a quick look.

I'm sure they're only exclusive to Walmart for a while, like the G1 Transformers reissues they'll hit online retailers eventually. Personally I like only having to check one store for the time being.

I think the Pilot looks like in belongs in a retro Fisher-Price Fireman Collection.

Saw the latest planogram at my Wal-mart by my house. Small little two pegs and no vehicle spaces for GI Joe Retro. So yeah, not seeing a lot of positives for 2021 on this line. Never seen an AWE Striker yet, saw the HISS a few times and picked up a few, and no FANGS (not that I want them, plenty of better 25ths at home and vintage).

Sans the helmet, none of the parts on this figure have ever been used on a modern era GI Joe before. (The helmet may be new too).

I honestly don't really like the new sculpt. The proportions honestly look more like a KO figure, or those Soldier Force figure proportions. It just doesn't look like a Joe figure to me. Maybe if I see it in person, I might change my mind, but then again, I doubt I'll see it. The only retro item I've ever seen in person at a store was the AWE Striker.

Was probably a design from a cancelled line they repurposed and added a new head to,lol. Horrible and sticks out like a sore thumb with the rest of the modern/retro line. Garbage figure really.

Saw on Walmart that the Retro Duke is the 2007/08 25th Duke, passed. But I do kinda like the SDCC repack Cobra Commander without the micky mouse cobra logo, so I pre-ordered.

Seeing that Fang Copter Pilot reminds me of some of the Retaliation drivers.
Those are not Joes. I tossed one in my recycling bin the other day when going through some junk tubs.
