Well they are definitely going for that Fortnite vibe with this figure then. Hopefully we will get to see future new sculpts soon to get an idea of where this line is headed.

Sans the helmet, none of the parts on this figure have ever been used on a modern era GI Joe before. (The helmet may be new too).

We believe this may be the sole work of the mustache, and it may be a clue as to how the Retro line will look going forward.

If so, then I'll be extremely disappointed.

Extremely disappointed is an understatement, I don’t know if I will collect anything passed the previous wave if this is how it’s going to be.

Maybe trying to advance the line with some crossover appeal? Include it in a vehicle because Abby 3.75 buyer may want the chopper and then like the figures? I agree it gives off a strong Fortnite vibe, so maybe they want to double dip

Strangely I like this figure. I understand why others may not though.

I think once in hand the Fang and Pilot will look cool. The lines better match the hiss tanks angular shapes. The pilot could look more aggressive. Less like a fireman. The red and blue areas look dull and washed out. For fun I did a paint over while watching TV thinking about what changes might improve him. I have 2 on preorder and can’t wait to get them! Never had a Fang.
